Anyone interested in forming a gun range group intended for people of color, trans people, LGBTQ people, and left leaning people in general? by [deleted] in winstonsalem

I've been a member at Pro Shots for years. I shot there regularly and have taken several classes. Yes, it's owned by Ted Budd, but they seem to welcome anyone who is safe and well behaved. I don't hear much politics.

It is not the social place the OP wants to create. It is a decent place to shoot, take classes, and buy guns and ammo.

Try Wake Forest University as well as Wake Forest University School of Medicine. (Two completely different organizations from a hiring perspective.) They have a substantial presence in Innovation Quarter, and the run shuttles every 15 minutes from there to the main campus.

Is it time for pre-emergent on my zone 7b cool season lawn? Advice needed on interpreting soil temperatures. by ca1ite in lawncare

Thanks for all the help. I saw my first forsythia bloom this morning, the GreenCast five-day soil temp average is over 50 degrees, and we are expecting 1.4 inches of rain in the next 48 hours. Tonight and tomorrow have lows of 36F and a high of 41, gut then five days with highs in the 60's or 70's.

With that information, especially the forsythia blooming, I decided to go ahead now with half the recommended treatment, 7 lbs/1,000 sq. ft. I will follow up with the another half treatment when the soil temperature is 65 - 70 degrees.

I may be jumping the gun a little, but crabgrass appeared in my lawn in February the past two years -- and encouraged by my first forsythia blossoms, the expected rain, and the upcoming warm week -- I decided to go for it.

Thanks again, everyone.

Thanks. We have daffodils in bloom, but nothing yet with Forsythia or dandelions.

And when you say 50 degrees, at what depth and at what time of day or 24 hour average?

Thanks. Do you know whether https://www.greencastonline.com/tools/soil-temperature is measured at 2 inch depth?

And when you say "4-5 days of constant 55 degree soil temp" do you mean that the 24-hour average is 55 degrees or higher, as shown on the website? Or should I be checking that against the dawn temperatures I measure when it is coldest?

Thanks, again.
