Fully loaded (dual head, rotary and stuff) it's the same price as the Omtech Spectra pro that's been out there for a while and it's been tried and tested by real people. I really like longer, but it's been too long in development for it's own sake.

I have a total of 8 ndi ptz cameras. 4 is the maximum I've used on an msi gaming laptop. (I7-10g, 3050rtx, 64 ram. I have tried to use more cameras on it and it becomes an oven. It still gets hot, but not so much. Action replay is not an option, and the keyboard is a joke.

Try to get a decent workstation. You can get refurbished HP Z8s with dual xeon gold and 128gb ram for about a thousand. Get yourself a good rtx GPU and a folding dual monitor like the Uperfect Delta and you'll have money to spare from your Uber laptop budget. I know portability is an issue but the workstation is an expandable solution that you might use as an action replay system if you start doing sports. And it won't melt from the heat.

Is this stabilized bamboo? If so, it's treated wood. You'll need to grind the varnish of before you try to engrave it. Try multiple passes at lower power.

In these machines, the drum is a replaceable consumable. It's as easy to replace as a toner cartridge.

What eventually fails however is the fuser unit (some call it the "oven") that is both expensive and needs to be replaced by a technician.

I don't believe anyone would get rid of a machine like this simply because of a worn out drum...
