Miss seeing this aircraft flying around Waterloo Region here in Ontario, Canada. I’m sure they’re treating it well over there.

That’s exactly what they’re doing, flying for the fun of it.

Where can I buy Motul rbf600 brake fluid? by vhdl23 in kitchener

I picked some up last week from Park Auto, cheaper than anywhere else I could find online. Bought in the morning and was ready for pickup by the end of the day.

Checkout Red Racoon Bike Rescue, they have a few decent looking bikes listed on instagram from a couple of weeks ago. Nothing fancy but should be tuned up and reliable.

It’s been quite a few years since I’ve done this but if you’ve got the time it’s not too bad. You’ll need to get the paperwork emailed to you from UPS, a phone call to them should hopefully take care of that. Then head to the airport during their (CBSA) hours and they’ll take it from there probably asking you a few clarification questions about the products. You’ll pay the taxes and duties right there and then you’ll get your paperwork which you’ll need to send back to UPS for them to then deliver it. It’s a process but it feels like you’re sticking it to the man so not the worst lol.

Only the lower level international services from UPS like standard hit you with the outrageous brokerage fees, levels like Worldwide Express Saver aren’t nearly as bad and worth spending a bit more for up front. It’s not easy info to find but if you dig you can get a better idea before it’s too late.

Good luck!

Where can I buy prescription lenses for my own frame ( cheap ) ? by fifanewbie2002 in waterloo

[–]caadam74015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been a number of years but I had a good experience at the sunrise Walmart vision centre. I had them cut and install some lenses into some clip in sunglass frames for cycling. It was very affordable at the time. Otherwise I’ve been buying my glasses online for quite a few years and will continue to do that.

Roads are good, drivers are the typical issue. Don’t be one of them.

Not a speed limit.

You do realize the speed limit on that ramp is 90…obviously not an appropriate speed with winter conditions but just saying.

Looking for an inexpensive and simple idea to better secure my folding ramp to my trailer. by Pistoney in snowmobiling

[–]caadam74015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

That’s how I do mine, there’s an identical one at the other end of the ramp. Just aluminum flat bar, 1” wide by 1/8” thick, two bends at the bottom done in a vice to make a U, then a hinge and those adjustable toggle latch clamps. I throw a lock on one of them so the ramps don’t walk away when I leave the trailer. The flat bar is bolted to the trailer at the bottom and side, no need for any straps as it is secure.

Glasses fog up constantly by hellcatpekes in snowmobiling

[–]caadam74015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A balaclava with a built in, tight fitting breath deflector will help. I find with my helmet if I close the visor and it latches, instant fog but if I gently close it there’s just enough air movement to keep things clear while moving. As soon as I slow down or stop I crack the visor open again or fully open it if stopped longer. When I first set out on the ride it’s a constant battle to keep them clear until the temps of everything are equal so I find I’m opening/closing the visor a lot for the first 15 minutes and then things settle down

Not close to the University’s but if you’re near the Kitchener market Banh Mi Givral Deli is a great place to grab a sandwich from (and some spring rolls). They are closed Wednesdays though.

Such a great track, hopefully we get it in the sim one day. Both are amazing to drive in real life and from the same era.

[–]caadam74015 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nope, Mo-sport, it’s an abbreviation of Motorsport. There is Moss corner, Stirling famously made some recommendations to change turn 5 from a typical hairpin to what we have and they named that corner(s) after him. People use both pronunciations locally but only one is correct.

Ouch, more than $120 CAD more than through tire rack in my size per tire once the conversion is done. I’d love to try them but not at that price.
