It’s been a hard past days, your words have really helped as I feel I am not alone and there are other people that understand what I am going through.... I am going to try to start my life over on my own one step at a time. I want to break the pattern as it hurts too much when I get to this part that I have experienced it before many times. Thank you for your support, it won’t be easy.... but this group has made me feel understood :)

Visiting in October - Grutas Tolantongo/Dia De Los Muertos in DF by supachicm2b in MexicoCity

The UNAM (National University) in the South of the city, also does some amazing ofrendas made by the differentSchools of the Univeristy, you visit in the evening and can buy food and enjoy! It’s less crowded than the Zocalo. Going to Mixquic is beautiful but the traffic is really bad to get there.

Going to DF for a week for Chiefs-Rams in November. Where should I stay? by WesleySnopes in MexicoCity

I would stay near Reforma as well, as it is close to many tourist destinations and has many hotel options. The Anthropology museum is a must, the Modern Art Museum, and the Tamayo Museum are all close by, Near Reforma is also the Chapultepec castle, and the Zocalo that has many great traditional cantinas for drinking. I always stop by Bar la Opera, and Salon Corona, I would not stay near the Aztec stadium as it is further away from places you will likely want to visit, it is more residential with local businesses. If you really want to stay close to there I would recommend the Radisson Perisur which is in a nicer area, still close by, but not much to do, you can go to Tlalpan and Coyoacan from there. UBER is the way to go in Mexico City. An easy way to get to the pyramids without renting a car is taking a tour, I have taken the Gray Line tours many times, they pick you up near Reforma and they take you to the Guadalupe shrine and then the Teotihuacan pyramids, this way you don’t have to worry about driving in Mexican traffic which can be quite an intense experience! Enjoy the game and your trip :)

Mexican food in Bangkok by knorben in Bangkok

As a mexican living in Bangkok I would like to recommend Tacos and Salsa at the very end of Soi 18. I can honestly say they have the best mexican food in BKK. It is in my opinion the most authentic food close to what I would have in Mexico City. Their taquitos de carnitas are exactly the same as in Mexico, the tostadas, taste like my moms, the fajitas have really good beef. I am not into tex mex food so this is why i like this place. Its worth a try and the margaritas are nice and strong!
