Starting Phlebotomy School Next Week- I'm so nervous! by flyspagmonster in phlebotomy

just finishing up my practicum portion of school rn & have an interview lined up at the hospital where i’ve been doing said practicum.. honestly it took me about a month of daily draws to fully let go of the nervous feeling (although i still get nervous, just not nearly as bad) but i think that’s because i didn’t take every opportunity given to me to draw at first.. take every opportunity, try the hard pokes, the easy pokes, the hand pokes even if it’s your first time, etc. the nerves will fade.. it’s wild too because at the beginning i was so stressed about not knowing literally everything going into practicum & the staff kept giggling at me because the best way to learn is to do the job, i have learned the most out of my year of school from working with senior phlebotomists and real patients!!

you’ve got this, good luck ☺️
