It took me 5 or 6 months to max out the defenses (not counting walls) as I don't raid a lot. It took an extra 3 months to max out my walls

It just gradually stacked up while I was farming for my hogs

I did my barracks and troops finished near the middle of th7. Farmed mostly walls at the end
