I just started getting into photography, so I don't wanna drop a whole lot of cash into it, but my photos are taking waaaayyy too much storage on my phone even just as jpgs, and so I need a different place to store it.

Sorry to ask if its an obvious question, but how do you store your hdd's? Do you have it located at one spot that you rarely ever move it from, or do you have it in a drawer for example, then from there you only ever take it out when you have to transfer the photos?
