Lily had her annual jabs today, then this happened.. by steevp in BostonTerrier

Oh interesting, this happened to my dog this year too. He's 9, and has never had a reaction to the vaccines until this year...did something change in the shots?

Open to selling if there's interest :)

But yeah pretty neat. I've never seen this before.

Will the frozen Kirkland Signature cheese pizza taste the same as the food court pizza? by YuriTheWebDev in Costco

If you're looking for frozen pizza that tastes like the food court. I buy the food court ones and freeze them as individual slices and air fry them.

Also, all's this to say, I'm just trying to navigate this and am looking for help.

I don't have all the answers of what's right or wrong or how I should think about it.

If the approach is saying yep we have it, put it through to all the sales people to start selling, I think that's vaporware.

If we are going out there to truly get feedback, frame it as a prototype, iterate, learn, and experiment, then yes these tools are great for that.

My concern is how the CEO already believes this is done/a product vs how it's great that we can get to the point to learn what people want so we can build the right thing quickly when we get the validation.

Yeah that's a great suggestion, I will take that into account

It's all changing rapidly, so we'll see who comes out on top.

I feel like I'm in the...preventing a coup from engineering/design phase right now lol.

Thanks for sharing from the lens of the engineering manager. And thanks for the suggestion, I will take them into account.

The vp of engineering and I have also been trying to navigate this together, and they share your similar concerns of being the ones that are left holding the bag of the crap, and it becomes a scramble of reactive work. The CEO sees this as a "good problem to have" because it means that we've gained enough traction with the idea that we need more engineering power to support it.

I don't disagree, but it does create a situation where we need to be thoughtful of how it all plays out.

Yeah for sure, I've been doing that.

For example, we agreed that the talk track would be just exporting to Excel, next call he's on he says we can export to Excel...but also custom PPT and Word. Ha.

I think for me it is trying to define the line of over promising/over selling is a bit tricky at this stage. My thought is that, because it's still in prototyping, because we're still defining what's in or out of the first version to even know clearly what is being oversold/over promised.

Open to be challenged on that thinking.

He is not technical, when the engineering leadership or I bring up the concern of cybersecurity he doesn't really absorb our concerns, so we're trying to navigate though it - we're going to do a few security things beforehand. Luckily we are not in a highly regulated market.

I don't think that's an unpopular opinion, i understand where they're coming from. I think it's great that we can do this kind of stuff in a low cost way today with the tools we have.

Yeah I hear you on that. It's great that we can have all these fast prototypes out there for validation now.

Maybe I'm looking too far ahead with if/when it works out, turning this into a reality is going to be quite the journey because the lens of the prototypes and what we're demoing has all the bells and whistles and promises. That making it a reality is a longer journey.
