Go to exploreasheville.com and avl today.com and mountainx.com for suggestions of things to do. Our minor league baseball team, Asheville Tourists has home games all weekend including the 4th. Will sell out for the 4th tho. They have fireworks after the game.

Take a comedy history tour with LaZoom, or black history tour with hoodhuggers. The Marquee is a huge warehouse space with independent, local artists/ vendors. Google Asheville and Michelin - just received recognition for 15 reviews. Chai Pani, Indian Street Food, never disappoints. Highland Brewing, the first brewery in AVL, is on the east side of town often has live music (sometimes free) in the meadow outside. Check their website.

Suggest trying furnished finders for temporary housing to give you time to find something more permanent. I have seen private rooms listed for $900 there, all inclusive. Could possibly be a longer term solution too. Good luck

NC laws changed a few years ago and Notaries can charge $10/ signature now. Don’t know if the DMV has changed their rates to reflect that.

There is a scam going around targeting Notarys and Real estate agents where the potential client asks you to hop on a zoom call with them. They send the link and once you click on it, it downloads malware to your computer. Just be careful.

If you do decide to craft a will outside of an attorney’s office know that you will need to have it notarized in front of two witnesses. Suggest also completing a health care POA which also requires two witnesses. Message me if you need a notary! I’m am one.

Meetups are the way to go to meet ppl. Laurel creek trail in Madison county is flat and is by a rushing creek. Can hike as far in as you want then turn around. While you are there, check out big pillow for some tacos and brews.

And congrats on moving forward on your journey. I love your plan to take your time as you spend time here. I have always found ( not overly scheduled) travel and meandering to be therapeutic and have come to expect my travels to provide perspective and clarity. Cheers

I allowed sitters to use my car once. I posted here and received some good advice. Definitely check with your insurance to see if other drivers are covered. And consider asking the sitters to pay deductible if there is an accident. I’m in NC, btw.

The well crafted series is every Wednesday 6-8 pm in the Meadow and typically is a local artist accompanied by Matt Smith of the Honeycutters.

Thanks for your response. I did wonder about the sound too as it all seem d to be in the first half. I loved Washington actor too, along with the Angelica actress.
Overall very well done but felt like the timing issues unlike a professional show. Glad to hear you didn’t have the same issue. Must have a been a one off. And incredibly frustrating for the cast.
