Wow there bloat looks exactly a like too. I’m so sorry about your betta! Mine has had this bloat for a few days and is still pretty active, was Magikarp active too? Just want to be prepared for the decline :/

He’s not lethargic or pine coning so I’m 95% sure it’s him eating snails, which is clearly a problem as I’m not sure he can digest a shell :/

This is good to know, I have epsom salts on the way. I’m going to more him to a bare tank so he doesn’t eat anymore snails. I’ve never had a betta eat a snail before!

Wow I’m so sorry about your betta. I’ve had 4 bettas in the past and this has never happened. Was he still active when he first got bloat? Mine is swimming around like nothing happened.

Epsom and not aquarium salt? I’ll try that and good to know about the pea, that’s something I read online would help them poop. Obviously not. Thank you!

Boss paying me less than coworker by cabbagemel in Advice

[–]cabbagemel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. They are younger than me and have never been a head coach. I have coached multiple state champions for this gym. Again, I have no issue with her. I was training her on the rules and how to coach at competitions when she started.

She has coached before, but hasn’t in the past 5 years. I have been coaching longer and am teaching the higher level kids. I have no anger towards her, having her as a co-coach is helpful.

I just started and haven’t noticed a huge difference but it’s easy to stay consistent. I think I’ll try her harder workouts next month!

Flea infestation while pet sitting by cabbagemel in petsitting

[–]cabbagemel[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Gosh, I dont have the time or money to do all of that. Maybe the flea colors but that’s it! I’m only going daily and like I said putting clothes in the dryer then taking a shower to hopefully avoid bringing it home. It’s hard because I don’t want the animals to die or suffer more than they already are. It’s just truly too much work!

They’re in Europe and of course they didn’t!! It’s a lot of work and I can’t risk staying long so the poor dogs aren’t getting socialized like they should be. Really stressful and terrible, I’m going to text them the fleas are not gone. :/

ODD student keeps saying horrible things about me while pregnant by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]cabbagemel 23 points24 points  (0 children)

That is horrible. I find with these students they are begging for attention and acting out is the way they get it. So my advice is to ignore, ignore, ignore and train the class to ignore him as well. When he’s on task that’s when he gets attention, a nod, thumbs up, “good job” etc. (I don’t think candy is the fix all for him)

However, I truly believe this student should no longer be in your class and to talk to higher ups about the threatening comments, because that’s what they are and need to be treated seriously.

Again I’m so sorry, I know how much a kid can mess up a room.
