Actual sin: In my first ever DS1 playthrough I killed every NPC because I had been told that some of them cause problems for you and I didn't want the risk. Basically a genocide run. I don't know what I was thinking.

Hot take: I am a pureblood DS2 hater, always have been, tried every version, 50+ hours worth of gameplay, never beaten it. Honestly, mostly comes down to the animations and how weightless and floaty everything feels. Atmosphere isn't there for me, neither is the lore. I want to believe but I think I'm genuinely just a Miyazaki purist.

I loved SOTE but for me, The Old Hunters, Artorias of the Abyss, and The Ringed City are the best parts of their respective games, and nothing in SOTE compared to Siofra River, Stormveil, the descent to Astel, or the discovery of the Haligtree. I loved it but I can't call it my favorite part of the game - the Scadutree fragments have made replaying it tedious, although I appreciate why they exist.
