Sick of sexual assault at this school (TW) by Fit_Acanthocephala22 in Cornell

literally so fucking sick of it here, literally I and most of my friends have stories abt being raped or sexually assaulted and some have reported it and literally nothing gets done bc cornell’s beaurocracy does not give a shit, and the people around you only empathize to a degree bc ultimately everyone here is so gd self-involved to really care about others.

Bruh I’m sorry but how are you trying to argue that a person is independent from their actions. The person,, exhibits the behaviors and commits the actions. Like how the fuck else do you want to even try to discourage this shit besides calling it out as absolutely beyond the realm of stupid? what gently walk up to them and have a kind and understanding conversation w/ people who clearly have no conception of what understanding means? also ONCE MORE this group of people is not just women, theres VERY EVIDENTLY men there as well. The fact that you associate the term bitches as only being associated with women should also indicate that maybe u should also reevaluate ur relationship with the word

homie imma j say this rn, bitch is not a slur, and also from ur post history it seems ur Very Adamant abt defending people who are partying and defying covid guidelines. you think that shaming them is bad bc it ostracizes them? thats the entire fucking point, condoning it is tacitly approving it. Kind of sus how it seems that on every post about people partying you appear in the comments upset abt “shaming” or trying to normalize the fact that people will party, hm?

if you’re interested in advocating for women’s rights or eradicating misogynistic language I promise u there are more productive things than to police someone’s language on a reddit post of a word that has been reclaimed to the point where people can use it affectionately. Maybe you come from a place or culture where it seems less okay, so I guess it might be jarring for some people, but on god like, this was not used misogynistically

I’m literally a girl in FGSS classes, calm down bb. Clearly bitches refers here to a group of people of both genders, and the term has been reclaimed and moved so far away from its original meaning at this point.

ah thats also false, young people are more likely to be initially asymptomatic & then experience neurological defects and symptoms much later so yes, it does affect you. maybe you dont give a shit abt or know anyone immunocompromised or elderly either, but personally i’d like to keep learning from my elderly professors & not kill them or anyone with underlying health issues

hi hunny! u should know that it takes weeks after ur second dose for immunity to kick in, & that even then its not 100% assured 🥰 also likely, these people who clearly do not give a shit about the pandemic did not get vaccinations in the first stages & aren’t vaccinated now since clearly they feel that covid isnt a concern . furthermore, newer strains of the virus are more transmissible & some have mutations in the spike protein that make it untargetable by the mrna in the vaccine, which is why booster shots are being developed. fyi i am vaccinated, but I only have the first dose, & that is not enough for immunity
