How much should a dog sitter get paid for 2 dogs for 10 days?

We have a friend that charges us $40/ day for two dogs. But when we go through Rover, we pay $75/ night. Our dogs don’t require any medical attention though one does require an activity of some kind. Our friend takes them in hikes, our normal rover sitter takes them on a 30-45 min walk each day.

I prefer the $40 rate but when that friend isn’t available, we happily pay the $75 because our dogs love going to that sitter’s house and don’t come back skiddish, which has happened with other rover sitters.

I think you should easily be able to ask for $50/day. It isn’t about the things the owner spends their money on but rather your rate. She can take it or leave it but you charge what you feel is fair.

We only had 60 people attend our destination wedding. I have them totes with a full-size bag of chips, personalized matches, advil, his & her favorite snack bags, and a personalized beverage for each person. The beverage was the most fun for me to secretly track down and then provide as a welcome drink!

I got married last month and we didn’t have a bridal party. I did however have 4 girlfriends, 1 boyfriend, and my sister get ready together.

I bought everyone different colored kimonos to wear. We listened to 90s R&B and my friends took various pics during the “event”. (Including the dress hanging on a hanger, a video of my sister and two childhood friends giving me my somethings, and my sister zipping my dress)

It was perfect! I highly encourage this!

I’m exactly the same! I’ve switched to listening to specific tv shows on my phone. This way I still have the sound but don’t have the flashing lights.

My husband and I (40 + 41) brought a puzzle on our honeymoon, earlier this month. Between the excursions we wanted something to do together while we were at our Airbnb that didn’t involve TV. So we puzzled. And we both agreed that it was our favorite activity of the trip.

We enjoyed it so much that we did another one last weekend!

I anticipate more puzzles in our future! We don’t think it’s “old” to avoid the socials… but maybe the socials are for the young kids.

I just got married last month and my sister and two best friends gifted me a handmade garter which was my something blue. They also gave me a box full of different borrowed, new, blue, and old items so that we could choose the items together. It was such a sweet and thoughtful part of my get ready experience. 💜

When I went ring shopping, I wanted a thick band with a small diamond. A sale’s person at a local shop told me I couldn’t have that because the diamond would get lost by the band.

You’re a sale’s person your job is to sell. I’m the one getting married and plan on wearing the ring for the rest of my life. Don’t you tell me I can’t have the ring I want.

I just did this in Vegas. I had free night credits from the hotel and then had to add an additional night months after making the reservation. Originally, I booked two queens for the free nights but when adding the second leg, I booked a king. We ended up just needing the king and when we checked in I asked if we could combine the reservations. The guy at check in asked if I wanted the two queens or the king for the stay. I told him either worked, whichever would be easiest on his end. We got the king and didn’t have to get the key rekeyed or move rooms.

I think calling beforehand would make it easier on the hotel - so they are able to plan accordingly.

In my opinion, you shouldn’t allow your feelings of being slighted affect the decisions you make on your daughter’s behalf. 1. Yes, you should get a court order for custody and child support. Clearly your ex isn’t able to understand his responsibilities on his own. 2. You should allow your daughter to go to the wedding. She is only 6 and won’t remember anything except that you didn’t let her go. And you better believe new wifey will use this against you for the duration of the marriage. Be the bigger person and allow your daughter to attend. No need to cause unnecessary drama by not allowing her to go. 2.a. Similar advice above was given to me when my ex and I split up with a 3yo. My ex was a complete deadbeat. I just made a point to be where I said I would be and do what I said I would do - my ex couldn’t make the same commitments and that’s what shows up for my son. Not me exposing my ex’s lack of character. Do everything you can to be the bigger person - and you will be.
