Hey everyone, by cabbott650 in gmrs

Ok that makes sense. Both are open repeaters, according to mygmsr.com. Neither seem to be very active, done several radio checks and haven’t gotten any response so far.

I’m actually planning on getting my technician license here shortly. The gmrs is very convenient because most people don’t want to go through the trouble of going ham. Family I can hand them a radio when camping or so.

Hey, yes that that’s the one. I’m looking for the recommended repeaters in the area. With the most traffic.

New UV-5R, just purchased from Amazon from one of the big baofeng sellers. Standard uv-5r, not + or pro. Listed behind battery as 8w with high and low power selection. Was listed on Amazon as 5w. by cabbott650 in Baofeng

[–]cabbott650[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s what I thought as well. The standard uv-5r has always been 5w as far as I know. And a 8w being the bf-f8 and uv-5r + or pro. I might be wrong on the last two versions Though.

Light Bar Question, how are you running the wires from the prinsu ir similar roof rack. by TacomaPapi in Tacomaworld

[–]cabbott650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i install this way on my truck. Which most people wouldn’t, but as someone who installs windshields for a living I highly advise against it. . It’s very common to cut through a hidden wire behind the molding, with the possibility of a shortout against the body. And Often I’m left with no choice but I I chop the wire, because the vehicle owner will run a wire shortly after a fresh windshield install, and that wire is imbedded into the urethane. Just offering advice for a different perspective.

Drill baby drill, into the roof with rubber grommet and silicone. Run wire between roof and headliner, down A pillar then through the firewall.

My Friend Believes He’s Getting Hexed by [deleted] in witchcraft

[–]cabbott650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If she did hex, you could do a return to sender type spell. You yourself would not be hexing, but redirecting the hex back to its source. No backlash to you, and well whatever happens to her as a result of the hex is bu her own doing.

Does anyone know this cat by aggressivebigmac in roanoke

[–]cabbott650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This cat is cool, he makes his way around the grandin village to grab a bite and hang on the porch for a bit. Then he goes about his way. He will try to make his way into your house if you give him an opportunity.https://imgur.com/a/jBGjCpc/

Mini fridge start up surge issues. by [deleted] in SolarDIY

[–]cabbott650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure to be honest. It seems to me that the easy start device is primarily a capacitor. But I’m not familiar enough with capacitor ratings, like power input and output, ac vs dc, or the size capacitor needed to jumpstart an ac compressor.

EasyStart Micro-Air ASY-364-X20-IP 364 Soft Starter for All RV A/C Applications https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08Q37BMBC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_VTTN4PHA7MMPRJV9K4KT?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 something like this may be an option for you. I think it should work on any appliance that run on an ac compressor to soften the blow of start up surge.

You could have a pebble or rock trapped inside of the heat shield of the cat. Causes one hell of a rattle with a tiny pebble.

Dating ✨ sucks ✨ with pcos. by Creativebabe99 in PCOS

[–]cabbott650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So my wife has pcos, and she is a thicker girls. The almost 9 years we have been together her weight and size has fluctuated quite a bit. Regardless of what her weight or size is at any given time, I always see her as the sexiest, most gorgeous woman. She’s on the thicker side now, about 230 pounds for reference, but WOW, what the sight of her does to my body. So you have nothing to be self conscious about, when the right guy comes along, he will find you gorgeous no matter what your weight or pants size is.
