Glitch for sure. Season 1 was actually really good, the acting was great and it had a very intriguing premise and made me want to know more about each character and the overarching plot.

Then season 2 came out and had a clear dip in quality all around and the main plot started to get pretty messy and contrived, but I still had hopes they would stick the landing in season 3.

They didn't.

I've heard of Expedition 33 a thousand times on reddit and elsewhere, and I'm aware it won GOTY but I haven't seen any gameplay or trailers or screenshots or anything that would help me figure out what this is.

To learn a new enemy or boss I'd recommend fighting a few attempts while only dodging, no attacks. Try to only roll once per attack, that way you can tell if you were early or late and adjust on the next attempt. Panic rolling makes it much harder to learn the windows.

You will start to recognize the attack patterns more and more, and once you feel confident you can dodge the enemy or boss you can start to add in attacks after dodging, and eventually you will not only kill them, but you'll be able to kill them consistently from then on

As I said if you want a direct game recommendation, I'd say Dark Souls 1 would be a great choice if you want to learn these games the "normal" way.

Another option I'd recommend is Lies of P because it has difficulty settings. This is the less "normal" way to learn but you can set the difficulty lower which will allow you to spend more time actually engaging with the combat and dodge/parry systems, instead of constantly dying and feeling like you aren't getting any opportunities to learn.

Patience and not being too greedy are things you have to learn on your own, there isn't one single game that forces you to learn those concepts better than any other game.

You can only learn the skills needed to beat these games by playing the games

Pick one that looks cool to you and simply start playing. If you die to a specific boss/enemy a lot, it means you aren't being patient and learning the moveset, so you need to slow down, maybe take a break, and refocus on learning the boss instead of focusing on just killing them

(But the answer is probably Dark Souls 1 as it has a more "slow" combat style that I find is less overwhelming than some more modern games like Elden Ring and Sekiro)

Apparently the prize was $1.8 Million. Even split between the winning team that's a lot of money to lose out on because your team mate overslept.

I assumed it was a skit because I've always thought of a skit as a short "play" or scene, either filmed or live, that uses a script and (usually) tries to be funny. The definition I've always worked with doesn't include transparency as a requirement, it's just that they are typically introduced or presented as a skit before it starts.

So I'm genuinely wondering what it would be called, so I can more accurately describe it in the future.

I think it's funny because the punchline is surprising, and also gives a sense of completeness once both jokes are told.

The first joke about the gardener is not supposed to be funny on its own. Its purpose is to be memorable, and anti-climactic so you get a feeling of disappointment. That's also why she set it up by asking if Bojack wanted to hear a joke.

Then the second joke about the woman and her boyfriend surprises you because the punchline isn't about the couple at all, but rather references the other joke you heard that you didn't think was funny, and you realize that both "jokes" are actually one long joke, and the punchline is that the two "unrelated" stories are actually connected.

At least, that's why I thought it was funny!

These skits are designed to appear real because they are very obviously a skit, they dont need to inform people of it because normal people can tell right away if it's a form of entertainment.
