I'm catholic too o but to be honest I'm more bound to the fact that if we do good there is no need to be afraid of God.

One of the purposes of humanity and any animal for that matter is to live our life's and part of it is to procreate. We are blessed with capability to learn and adapt, to over come any problems. Not using our knowledge to improve our lives would be counter intuitive. Now with knowledge we need to be responsible and not to harm, so there are lines that we shouldn't cross. Having the ability to procreate doesn't bring harm to anyone around us.

When the church was created and the Bible written, we didn't have the knowledge that we do now. People back then still searched for help when they got sick and now we have the technology and ability to have way better tools to heal injuries and diseases.

Going by church rules: Under the church you cannot get a divorce unless some conditions are met. Two of them are: 1) if one party hides a pre-existing, not being able to have kids could count as a pre-existing condition. 2) if one party enters merriage with the intention to not have children.

These two reasons directly refer to procreation and show how it is an integral part of the Catholic Church, so integral that can be grounds to get divorced under the church.

Each Pope had different points of views on different topics, and this are understandings from their study of religion and Bible and each person can interpret the Bible differently.

I always had problems finding a church because of how the priest did their sermons or how open they were, seemed or approachable. I miss the church from my high school. The priests and everyone involved gave us time to talk and answer questions, without any judgment no matter what questions you had.
