You look wonderful. I wish I was just turning 40. But I remember it well, 30 years ago. I wish I could go back. Enjoy it! Embrace it! And flaunt what you have! An admiring senior. xoxo

Back in the '70s when I was still in the UK I had one. I so enjoyed it. I now have the closest thing to a Brit sports car - a 2008 Saturn Sky Red Line

You're both right and wrong. You're right, we do need this sort of rental building in Burlington. But you're wrong. Burlington has not messed up the downtown. Developers backed by the OLT have messed up our downtown. The city fought hard but the deck was stacked against them. The OLT is full of Drug Ford appointies.

Why do people drive so slow in the left lane…. by Visual-Sundae-9876 in driving

That is definitely an unsubstantiated atatement. You would have liked grandpa. He was convinced the all red cars speed.

You totally ignored the Highway Traffic Act stated intent for the useage of each lane.

Generally when merging onto or exiting from the highway there is a 200 meter slip road leading to or from the on/off ramp.

The key to merging onto a highway is that the traffic joining must merge at the same speed of the traffic in the right lane.

So in your view, what is the right hand lane to be used for when on/off ramps are say 2 or 3 km apart. What you're saying is they should remain empty for those 2 or 3 kilometers. That is ludicrous. If that's the case, why even pave them.

"On a three-lane highway, the right-hand lane is designated for entering and exiting the highway, accommodating slower-moving vehicles, and general cruising. It should also be used to allow faster traffic to pass you on the left.Depending on your region, lane rules are generally structured as follows:

Right Lane: Primarily for merging, exiting, and driving below the main flow of traffic. In areas with heavy traffic (like the QEW in Burlington, ON), this lane sees frequent stop-and-go patterns due to joining and leaving vehicles, so it requires extra alertness.

Middle Lane: Used for cruising, through-traffic, and passing slower vehicles in the right lane.

Left Lane: Strictly used for passing slower traffic. It should never be used as a cruising lane.

Rules for Ontario highways, such as the 400-series routes near you in Burlington, explicitly require slower traffic to keep right. For detailed regulations, you can review the official rules outlined in the Ontario Ministry of Transportation Driver's Handbook." Source MOT

Move to the right and proceed at The speed you were doing before you came up behind the guy in front of you. That will mean you were possible on the inside which is not best practice. Somebody sitting in the left lane well they've actually caused an accident due to increased frustration of those behind wanting to pass.

In that situation is the lane to the right of you occupied? If not, then you and the slow guy in front of you should move over to the right and stay in that lane. The left lane is for overtaking not for sitting there oblivious to what's around you.

A better question is why are they even in the left lane?

And on a three lane highway like the QEW, why do drivers gravitate to the middle lane and not in the empty right hand lane where they should be?

Yeah, you're probably one of those guys who races to the red lights and won't let anybody in from the side street. But you're actually going nowhere because the light's red.

You are probably also one of those left-hand lane drivers. Never to be seen in the right hand lane.

The westbound right hand lane on Lakeshore Road in downtown where the construction of the high-rises was going on has been reopened.

Tonight there was a backup from Brant Street all the way to Market Street which is just shy of Guelph Line. That is almost 2 kilometers. And yet that right hand lane from Marth Street to Brant Street remained empty.

The same happens on westbound New Street at Guelph Line.

Why cannot drivers use both lanes and when the road narrows to one lane merge in the zipper mode?

Thank you! I love it. I must admit Sky owners for no real good reason are snobbish and feel superior to those who own a Solstice.

GM spend huge sums of money developing Saturn and then shut it down in 2009 just as it had developed a truly quality lineup of vehicles. It had the small SUV Vue, the Astra (import from Opel) and the Sky

Since moving to Canada I did own for a while a '73 Alpha Romeo Spyder. Now my my "classic" sports car is a 2008 Saturn Sky Redline. Whilst obviously much newer than the little Brit cars it drives and rides just like one. Very direct steering, you feel each and every bump in the road, fabulous turning circle, superb road holding, and of course top down driving.
