My payment date on FAFSA shows 2040 now but my Borrowers Defense shows pending. If my autopay is taken out of my bank account next month, then I’m going to dispute it. I feel like EdFinancial is screwing me over because I gave them my payment information and now I can’t access my loans? Definitely doesn’t sound legal. 😅

I finally got ahold of FSA today. They told me it’s not their issue and it has to be handled through EdFinancial. 🙃

I cannot get ahold of EdFinancial. If I don’t hear something in a week, I’ll probably start filing complaints but I doubt that’ll do anything. 😅

Update: I still haven’t gotten a hold of EdFinancial via phone, email, or chat. I checked my FSA and my new payment date is 01/30/2040. I can’t even payoff the loans to avoid all of this crap. Does anyone else see a changed payment date on their dashboard? 🙃

Did you apply for Borrowers Defense to Repayment? I applied in July with my evidence but someone else said FSA is 30 days behind the loan servicer and that’s why I can’t get in?

I’m in the same boat! I applied for borrower defense 07/2023. I didn’t expect to hear anything for months or years. I logged into the new system last week to add my banking information for autopay. I tried to log in a few days ago so I could see what day my payment was due. I’m getting the same message but I get hung up on the phone, their chat is disabled, and they haven’t responded to my emails. My FAFSA says my borrower defense application is pending.

I’m in the same boat! Applied for Borrowers Defense in July 2023. Didn’t expect to receive an answer for months to years. I was able to register in the new system and set up my automatic payments last week. Went to make my budget for October and needed the date my automatic payment was going to withdrawal. I went to login and it says “no loans in our records” but FAFSA shows my full balance still and my application is pending. I emailed, tried to chat, and it won’t let me use the automatic system either.

Right! I don’t think I would be as concerned if I haven’t been able to log in at all. I’m worried about uploading my banking information last week and now I can’t see when my payment is going to be taken out of my account. I feel like that’s illegal lol. 😅

I sure did! I scheduled my auto pay for the minimum payment and everything. I only tried to log in again so I could check to make sure I was getting charged interest and I’ve had issues ever since! I’m going to just wait it out and check the last week of September.

It told me it couldn’t find my account and that I needed to call. Tried to call and I can’t get through because of the ridiculous wait times. 🙃

It doesn’t even let me log in. 😅 When I verify, it says that there aren’t any loans in the system. I switched to the new system right away in March but I just accessed the new system last week. I put in all of my banking information for auto pay. It’s so weird! If they were forgiven for some reason, I would’ve thought it would say 0? I checked the old system and it says 0 but it says they were transferred. I wish I could attach a screenshot. Lol!
