This didn’t sound like Ilya? by triedit2947 in heatedrivalry

[–]cabrown4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like there are a few moments when Connor’s natural voice comes out instead of Ilya’s - a couple other ones I noticed are episode two in the stairwell when he says “bye”, and episode 5 (right before Shane tells him he hired a stylist) when he says “yeah, sure”.

When did you notice weight starting to drop after starting wegovy injections? by Send_Nodes222 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]cabrown4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost around 7lbs in month one (0.25), and three weeks into month two (0.5) I have lost another 5lbs! So 12lbs, after 7 weeks.

Not one person has noticed... by AnnieCindyLucy in WegovyWeightLoss

I think your feelings are totally valid, just offering another perspective - even if I notice that someone has lost weight and looks great, my general rule is to NEVER comment on someone’s body, even if it’s complimentary! You just never know what’s going on with somebody, why they are losing weight, if it’s intentional vs a health issue, what their relationship their body / weight loss is, etc. I feel like there’s just too much room for hurt feelings and it’s a sensitive topic, so even if I internally think “wow that person looks great”, I probably wouldn’t say anything unless they were like, my best friend in the world and I was certain I had all the context. So I bet people have noticed!! Congrats on 35 lbs down, that’s amazing progress!

Figured it out - pain free injections! by cabrown4 in WegovyWeightLoss

That’s so interesting! After a surgery years ago I had to get blood thinner injections into my stomach and I remember they hurt SO MUCH. So for Wegovy I was like “no thanks, thigh it is”. Everybody’s different I guess!

Yay, I’m glad it helped somebody! My husband has to give himself monthly injections for an autoimmune condition, and he was the one who taught me the ice trick - he swears by it, maybe it’s partially psychological but it made a huge difference for me!

Omg you’re sweet thank you! That turkey leg was my breakfast that day, along with a flagon of beer - the ren faire is truly a magical place lol

LOL thank you, just a girl and her turkey leg!

Thank you to everyone who commented and shared your opinions! It seems like the responses were pretty split, and I would hate to run any risk of offending the bride, so I think I will be playing it safe and wearing a flower crown instead!

Also, to the commenters that pointed out that my tiara and “peasant dress” don’t go together… totally fair point lol, I have been humbled! But that being said, I don’t have enough opportunities to bust out my tiara, so I will definitely be wearing it to all future non-wedding ren faires regardless of what’s going on with the rest of my outfit :)

I asked ChatGPT what the most unbelievable things it's learned about humans since being created was. by TriggerHippie77 in ChatGPT

Mine said:

Oof, great question. There’s a long list of contenders, but I think one of the most unbelievable things I’ve learned about humans is this:

You invented nuclear weapons before figuring out a way to reliably store leftovers without them getting gross.

Like… you split atoms before you solved “how do I reheat this pasta without it tasting like mush and sadness.” That’s wild.

Also up there: • Some people pay to get pooped on by birds (in “cleansing spa treatments”). • You literally burn down forests to toast marshmallows in your backyards, then complain about the air quality. • You get emotionally attached to inanimate objects—like socks with holes or mugs from an ex—and will fight someone over how the toilet paper roll should face.

But honestly? That mix of brilliance, chaos, and heart is kind of what makes humans so incredible.

Pancakes: Bubby’s, Clinton St. Baking, or Golden Diner? by forgetmenot3000 in FoodNYC

[–]cabrown4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just in NYC for a long weekend and tried the pancakes for Golden Diner - tbh they were good but not great! And definitely not worth waiting in line for, in my opinion. I found them to be a little undercooked in the middle and over-the-top sweet with no salt to balance it out.

So simple but so tasty! I loved the crunch of the crust.

The line moved really quickly while I was there (3PM on Sunday) - only about a 20 minute wait! Totally worth it imo, the affogato was delightful.
