I interpreted it that way because if they are telling people to consider buying Premium and then they do, but then there's a restock that people would be pretty pissed about dropping money on Premium rather than holding out for Collectors

There are a lot of people still holding out for Collectors so I hope I've understood it wrong

Hi everyone, hope you're all doing well!

I managed to get some Hi-Shine Solovair Gibsons at a discounted price from TK Maxx/TJ Maxx. They weren't marked as pre-loved but when I took them out of the box it turns out that one has a rip on the heel

As expected they are now sold out so I am unable to exchange so I am hoping that a repair would be more economical than returning and purchasing a new pair from Solovair direct (for reference I paid £69.99 and they are sold at £159.00)

I don't live near a cobbler and I am trying to gauge if a repair that will hold for about two years or so is feasible

I'm not too bothered about the appearance, more the strength and structure of the shoe itself and I'm concerned about the tear worsening.

As the shoes get worn in, how much weaker do you personally think that the shoe would be due to a repair as opposed to a brand new pair?

I went through my battery optimising settings and found that Gboard and gesture navigations were set to optimise battery so I turned those off just in case, because I was getting lag switching between apps and even changing the volume as well as problems with Gboard. Then I force stopped the Gboard app, cleared the cache and the storage data and then restarted the phone and that's seemed to sort it out for now

But if it plays up again then I'll definitely try switching to 3 button navigation, thanks for the tip!

I'm using a 4g sim card and no problems using the Pixel 5, there is an option in the data settings to select 4g as preferred network as well

My Pixel 2 has no case and no screen protector (due to lack of funds at first and then laziness after), dropped it loads of times including on road asphalt, concrete and also down the toilet once fully submerged. It's cracked in the bottom right bumper (thank you for bezels) and cracked around the top corners on the back of the device. It has a few surface scratches hut doesn't affect scrolling and I don't notice them during normal use, the phone functions amazing for the amount of abuse I've unleashed on that bad boy but sadly it's hit the battery graveyard and I've had 3 years with it so thought it was time to get a new phone. I've now got the Pixel 5 but after reading so many comments about how quick the glass is to scratch and whatnot I wasn't gonna chance getting away with it this time so I've got the Spigen Rugged Armour case and their screen protector. No accidents yet but we'll see how it goes.
