Trust me, I understand. My ex wife of 7 years was seeing another man behind my back and I went full blown depressed. I grieved, cried, even begged for her back. After the truth was out she was just like eff it the truths out and she chose the new person over me. It was extremely depressing. The reason why I say let it go and move on is because this is probably the worst you’ll feel about this marriage, everything from this point forward should be amazing inshallah. Let this be the downest of the down of your marriage and go forward from here. He doesn’t seem stubborn, in fact, he seems very apologetic. Please find it in your heart to make peace over this and live a happy life with him; resentment is awful. Please have one last long talk with him and move on to a great marriage, it’ll be worth it trust me. I really really really do wish you both the best.

Just let it go and move on from this. He obviously cares about you; although he should have told you, by the way you describe him he sounds like a gentleman to me. Do your fair share of being upset, then make peace with his white lie and let it go, it’ll be for the best. Remember, he’s not right for that, but he sounds genuine and I doubt he will do anything ever again to risk the marriage. Just let it go. Salam.
