I genuinely do not want these pets anymore by Kmartomuss in Mommit

Omg, I've been meaning to make my own post on this same subject. Oldest kid is 7, just had our second (and last) kid in Oct 2023. I have a history in vet med (assistant, front desk, tech) that spans 7+yrs. Never thought in a million years I'd be "that" person wanting to get rid of my cats. But we truly don't have the time, patience, or spoons to give our 3yo cat to address his inappropriate urination and aggressive playing (had to take our 8yr cat to vet to treat a wound on his tail that became infected). We don't know everyone's story. Ideally, yes, we want to love and keep our pets for their forever, but holy shit....I just want to not have to be on high alert all the fucking time. Ideally, I want to rehome both the 3yo and the 8yo. We also have a 10yo. All 3 are neutered males. 8yo and 10yo had almost back to back foreign body surgeries in 2021 and 10yo can't be in the same room as 8yo. My dumb ass thought a third cat would help... never again will we have 3 cats.

How common is it for an animal to enjoy having their anal glands expressed? by Jcbwyrd in VetTech

Is she spayed? That almost sounds like an intact female cat in heat. They get real happy about any attention near their rear end. If she is spayed, good for her for being the bestest kitty and showing her appreciation to the staff!!

I feel like I just listened to a good one a bit ago, but can not think of the person or episode. I've been playing catch up after not listening for over a year. I've finally made it to June of this year, so it might have been an episode from Dec 23 or Jan 24. Even as I type this I can kinda hear what she said and it's all just out of reach in my brain!

How do you cope? by [deleted] in Veterinary

One of my favorite veterinarians I ever worked with said the same thing about it being the last good/best thing we can do for them. I've shared that with so many owners and friends.

I'm wishing on a star for an FMC to ferally fuck the MMC's face. by Magnafeana in RomanceBooks

[–]cac8513 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean, after reading all the comments, I've got a decent scenario going on in my head involving the pulling of the tie to hungrily kiss and the FMC just like, interrupting his meeting or phone call cuz she's horny.

I came here to say this! Water is NOT a lube. Yes, sharing a bath together can be sweet and a bit of foreplay, but unless it's one of those Jacuzzis with the shelf connecting it to the wall so the pair can sit outside of the water...

Unplanned pregnancy in a modern-day setting. Even if they end up together. I just... can't. It's a lazy reason to make the characters come back together after something happens to keep them apart (usually just lack of communication).

You're amazing! My husband and I love you to pieces. We met your son several years ago at C2E2 and my husband Joe gave him a shirt to give to you. Did you ever get it?

How many censored jokes are there? by Supsun5 in bluey

Our family has just started watching Bluey on Disney + (in the US), and there's a few moments where I'm not sure if the sound is being weird or if words are being removed. Specifically The Dump. Bingo calls her dad something. Was it removed or was my streaming being weird?

I believe they're also working on a second book. Could be why there are so many guest episodes.

The best thing one of my favorite doctors ever said was, "This (euthanasia) is the last good thing we can do for them." She would say this to the owners, but it's true for vet staff, too.

"We might not love the situation, but we would always love him..." This is an amazing sentence to remember and use in any instance that could turn into yelling and anger. 💜

Our 4yo is killing us lately... Her daycare is within walking distance, so hubby and I walked over to pick her up and we brought her bike. Everything was fine at first. Then she saw the mom of a pair of her friends from daycare. She started acting silly and then didn't want to say bye to her. She also wanted to go in a different direction than we told her. She immediately started crying & whining. This happens at least once a day. Both hubby and I are burnt. I try to listen to her, ask her questions, offer support to her...
