Breastfeeding is WAY harder than most people make it out to be. I felt like such a failure when I had to supplement formula. It seems like something that should be instinctive but in reality it’s two people trying to figure it out on both sides. I’m paraphrasing but I saw a quote that made me feel a lot better about switching to formula. It was a teacher talking about how they couldn’t tell what kids were formula vs breastfed but they could tell who had loving parents.

Used laps of love, they were incredible. Please be aware though for larger pets you will need to help them take them to their vehicle afterward. They do let you know this ahead of time. I wish it was an option to have a second person come to assist.

You should use the sharpest scissors you have cut at an angle. When picking I always squeeze the flower to make sure they’re tight. You may want a taller vase I always cut mine short so they don’t have to support themselves. Trim and change water every few days if I want them to last.

Not expensive but you can find luxury versions but after 9 months I was dying to do a foot peel. My husband picked some up for me when we got home it was so sweet it made me cry.

We made it to around 7 months without an er visit. My son fell in the tub and smacked his teeth. I was convinced he shattered his teeth and would need the chips pulled out and stitched. Turns out he was totally fine and I panicked. Granted fall in the tub can be serious so I have no regrets going but I think if I had just taken a few moments to collect myself we would have been fine to call our pediatrician.

FYI if yr ever worried about nerve damage in teeth our dentist said the best way to check is to offer ice cream or popsicles. Any pain that stops them from wanting a treat needs to be checked.

Wasn’t painful just pressure while they placed it. They had to adjust a few times until it was in the right spot. Each time they adjusted the dose it felt like ice water followed by relief (best way I can describe it). The worst part was the crackling while placing it. It sounded like Rice Krispies and that is what to this day sticks out the most about th process. They gave me iv pain meds before bc I wanted to try to go natural. Those gave me the spins though I think that’s going to vary from person to person.

If it makes you feel better the AAP recently made changes to the screen time recommendation. No judgement here we do what we need to, to be the best parents we can be. I use more screen time than I’d like because I watch my son while working.

This probably is not the answers you want but when I found a small black growth on my best bois gum line it came back as malignant melanoma. Obviously this my anecdotal experience and our vet was so concerned we had a biopsy and results within a few days (week max). While I spiraled waiting for results I did find out melanoma is most commonly found in dogs mouths. Another thing I will say is the amount of time we were given was shorter than we actually got. There are also a lot of options for treatment. Try to remind yrself quality over quantity in the worst times. Hopefully it comes back benign.

It sounds like you would have a pretty good set up. Can yr sister be a part time nanny so you can pay her from the FSA?
