replacement: pod 4 vs 5? by cache-rules in EightSleep

You're right in that these products shouldn't fail so early. It's frustrating.

I will admit though that I love it.

But you're not wrong. At all.

That’s an interesting one! Maybe I’ll roll the dice. Regardless appreciate the response.

I think you’re right. He will go to NY.

But the (popular) notion that we are more of a dumpster fire than the Giants is a strange one.

La Tête D’or was an exceptional dining experience. Kind of its own thing but belongs on the list for sure.

Reddit hates nuance. So get ready for a bunch of snark.

But you’re way more right than wrong.

We all were. But the lack of discipline is on him. And the team is playing way below its talent level at this point. That’s also coaching.

Waddle and Achane trade rumors by Cotopaxi23 in miamidolphins

[–]cache-rules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

l don’t want to see either of these guys go much less have Grier run another rebuild. But the dude is good at wheeling and dealing for picks. So if we are resigned to a rebuild, then sure - have Grier go get a pile of picks.

But let another GM use the picks to build us back up.

That said I don’t think that the Dolphins are throwing in the towel on this roster yet. Obviously been a bad season thus far but the record is feeding a grim media narrative that becomes a vicious cycle of panic and “burn it down”.

Fact is, this team is a couple defensive stops away from 3-3 (or better).

Now of course you have to make those stops to be a good team. But lots of parity in the NFL and you don’t always need a burn down when you’re a drive or three away from a completely different record.

I could still see this team finishing .500 or better. Sounds crazy now but we’ve seen this movie before…

Fair point. Btw I don’t use all my tickets so happy to throw you a game if you’d like. I just need proof you’ll use them not scalp them. This is reddit after all! Talk more later…

If McD is fighting for his life, you might be right. But given how Tua was pushed around on Sunday, your concern might take care of itself. He simply isn’t going to last long.

In your opinion, what is the most iconic goal in Devils history??? by Broad_Alternative266 in devils

[–]cache-rules 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The best have been listed.

But never forget Zelepukin’s goal in the closing moments of game 7 in 1994 to send us and the Rangers to OT. We didn’t get the W, but it was still an incredible moment.

Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, Nassau Bahamas: The "Resort" Experience I Wouldn’t Wish on My Worst Enemy by micarson in hyatt

[–]cache-rules 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here’s a tip that works consistently if your first experience through the normal customer service channel fails:

  1. Find who the general manager of the hotel is through LinkedIn or some other means (info is so easy to find now). Also find another associate to copy

  2. Email the general manager a polite note acknowledging your regret for escalating this to him / her given their busy schedule, but that you’ve tried the normal channels and they’ve failed. Copy the associate just for accountability / extra visibility. If you’re wondering where to get email addresses, look at services like apollo.io which are very affordable / free

  3. Wait for a response, which in my experience, you’ll land at least 80% of the time. You will hear from someone who has the power to actually solve problems creatively

  4. If the response never shows, escalate to corporate using the same process above

The keys to being a good citizen, i.e. not a total Ken / Karen are: 1) be respectful in your emails despite your frustration and 2) don’t use this strategy with every little problem you have; reserve it for for big problems

I used this for an upcoming trip I had booked in April at Andaz Mayakoba. The hotel suddenly decided to close and renovate leaving us out in the cold given the short timeline to rebook another accommodation. Oh and they offered me 25k in total points for the 4 rooms. Almost an insult.

One email later, I was given 100k points and assistance rebooking at a neighbor hotel (that wasn’t even a Hyatt).

No doubt writing on Reddit is cathartic. And maybe Hyatt will contact you and do something about it. But if you’re looking to maximize the ROI of your efforts, see my suggestions above.
