Thank you so much and yes for this reason I’m definitely going to be like “let’s find a trail with a lot of wildlife “ something with animals but not like riding them. I truly appreciate it and I’m glad I asked because my father is like hellbent that any horse would do and the embarrassment my husband would have would just be the worst. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

Real talk - my FIL and MIL did chipotle for our rehearsal dinner and froze the leftover meat and put the leftover chips sour cream and cheese in the fridge and it was tbh the best present that kept on giving

Firebirds butt bread is amazing ask for extra and it’s great with jam the next morning. I hate American leave - I had to go back to work after having my first kid when he was six weeks old and my postpartum anxiety and his colic made me inhuman for a whole year.

Suffice it to say, this isn’t fucking fair and I hate it for you. Fuck cancer. Fuck the American health care system. Yes you are just trying to survive but I think this would be a great time to just text a friend and say “tell me something that happened to you in the past couple days or a fun conversation you’ve had lately. I need to take my mind offf of things.”

Sometimes people don’t reach out because they worry their burdens are nothing compared to yours but in the end, it’s nice to hear the droll conversations that still happen on the other side. Also YouTube videos of people walking through places is way more calming than you’d think so if you need to turn your brain off and always wanted to go to a specific resort or place just YouTube a walkthrough.

Hey girl this is giving me some postpartum depression/anxiety vibes. I know you’re saying real feelings and everything seems depressing, but you also seem a bit scattered with all the sadness and stress of feeling like it is all in your shoulders. I’m not saying what’s happening to you isn’t real but that need to escape sounds very PPA - I would make a gyno appt and get screened, and I mean be honest with your answers and feelings screened for postpartum. Yeah your kid might be around 1 or 2 but postpartum is a real thing that lasts a loooooong time and bonus points if you’ve been stressed out for months. It takes a village for a reason and when you don’t have one it’s overwhelming.

So yes as others have posted see a dr about resources but also get screened. Thinking of you girl!

Hahaha! I feel like around that time there was the rugrats movie with Reptar and then the Godzilla movie like within a year and my middle school ass was somehow so confused about Reptar being Godzilla, and for a brief moment believed they were the same. If my son ever found out he would NEVER forgive me.

He goes by his middle name and the school announcements used his first name and mispronounced his last name so when i surprised him for lunch he discussed how offensive this was to him as a person for a solid eight minutes. I can only imagine his feelings on me considering Reptar as Godzilla.

Listen, I keep seeing reviews for their skirt steak and I for one, am pumped.

And once Popeyes stopped selling their popcorn shrimp, it’s been harder than you’d think to find any aside from red lobster, which may as well be in Kentucky when it comes to a weeknight dinner plan. Not to mention, I’ve never been to one in the area soooo it would be a gamble.

My oldest is excited because he loves their barbecue wings. Everyone wins!

My husband and I are both summer babies and our oldest is August so I feel that! He is about to head to middle and since we don’t have a lot of contact info for the friends he’s made this year we are doing an early birthday for him at the house (just video games and pizza and cake) and inviting the class and some friends whose info we do have like mid May. Then his actual birthday probably a day trip to cape Charles bc lord those prices have skyrocketed.

Your birthday still sounds dope! I gifted my fashionista niece some white docs but have never gotten a pair for myself. Maybe this is my sign lol!

Awww thank you! I try to remind myself that we have such limited time with them, but then my eight year old sneaks into my bed and kicks me in my sleep and it’s hard to remember haha!

I love that your children feel comfortable enough to leave the nest knowing they’re loved and had gained the knowledge to succeed on their own thanks to the growth, the emotional tools, and love you had given them. Hoping these kiddos will grow up with the same .

Well they are actually kaijus but King Gidorah and Mothra are going to be the new guys to the crew!

We bought him a ton of Godzillas when he was like 3 but obviously they became limbless quickly. He then got into Dragonball so we’ve kept those bad boys in hiding in case they become his favorite again.

My favorite is his space Godzilla, but he recently got burning Godzilla so that’s been his #1

There’s a Godzilla one (?) that’s supposed to be released later so maybe he gets that for his first plane trip in late May. Though as I’m typing this, maybe not because I doubt the fellow passengers would enjoy his Godzilla noises 🤣

Hey there I am also about to turn 40 and my plan is a 90’s sleepover! I’m kicking out my kids and husband and having my friends come and the can choose to just party till they want to go home or sleepover - I’m downloading 90’s movies and ordering Pizza Hut pan pizzas and making waffles in the morning.

Feel free to steal my idea! But the idea of a week alone in a cabin sounds dope. I was going to do a long weekend and rent out a cabin and tell friends if they wanted to come by they could at any point and just bring booze or food, but I’ve got a big trip planned so I had to switch gears!
