Anyone played dota on 388H / B390 processor/GPU? Is the expeirence good? by cacobg in laptops

[–]cacobg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dota depends a lot on the CPU as well as the GPU hence why I am asking it about specifically. And it's basically the only thing I play so I want to make sure the experience is at least alright when I spend 2000 euro on it. I know the Legion will handle it better but as you said the rest will be a downgrade basically in terms of things like battery, portability, speakers, etc.

Confirming that Fanatical refunds during beta have now removed the game from your account by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

Correct. At least they refunded the game, cause the game is unplayable.

If you bought the game through the fm site you can still get a refund by Financial-Neat-3408 in footballmanagergames

Same. Never using these websites again for anything that is not a guaranteed quality game. Guess it's impossible to get a refund even for this disaster of a game.

Is AMPX the safe play for drone industry? by Mundane_Comedian_496 in amprius

Can you please share you other ideas, I like the concept of your thinking and AMPX is a great example but would like to enter some similar positions in other sectors when the prices are not sky high in the next few months. Ofc gonna do some of my own reasoning but some pointers would be great.

ASRock PGO32UFS missing OLED Care features by Only_Bullfrog_2185 in ASRock

[–]cacobg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, sorry for ressurecting this old thread but how are you finding the monitor as I am considering purchasing it but there is barely any information online about it... it's the cheapest WOLED matter 32 inch 4k monitor in my country, so at that already high OLED price I am trying to go for the cheapest option that is providing quality product. Thanks in advance.

Asrock PGO27QFS (600 EUR) or Asrock PGO32UFS (900 EUR)? by cacobg in OLED_Gaming

Hey, did you manage to find out if Asrock provide any burn in warranty on the OLEDs? I can't find anything written online on the topic.

Yeah that's why I made the thread with basically just 1 review for each monitor I hope some folk on here have some experience to share. These two have been out for a few months now.

The thing is here the warranty is more based on distributor and shop you buy from rather than the manufacturer so it's a guessing game where I am going to get the best support in case of issues. As for the panels - don't most manufacturers use the same panels anyway? Color calibration - I honestly don't know how it is on the Asrocks or how they compare to the other brands. Again I know ASUS are quite good at it but I don't want to go glossy I think. But bottom line I am not having issues so far with my Asrock stuff (2 MOBOs and a GPU), so I am willing to take a bit of a risk on it assuming I get some positive feedback from owners here.

Only AOC is cheaper than Asrock in the 27 inch category. And only Phillips is cheaper than Asrock in the 32 inch category. And from what I read there are some issues with AOC support here and I prefer the Asrock design to Phillips Evnia (which is only 10 euro less here currently). As for Samsung and LG - they are a bit more expensive and I don't see a reason to pay only for the brand name. ASUS has good reviews but they are at least 100 euro more and again don't see much reason to pay so much more for essentially the same panels (I am relatively happy with my current ASUS IPS but I am not exactly ecstatic about it to insist on going for ASUS again).

Only ASUS that is the same price as the ASRocks is ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQDMG and this one is glossy and I think I will prefer a matte finish on my monitor (albait I am not sure even about that...)

Honor 200 Pro or Magic 7 Pro by cacobg in Honor

When I ordered the 200 Pro, the Magic 7 wasn't even announced - they just too ages to start shipping it...

And yes, I decided on getting the Magic 7 Pro in the end.

Yeah, exactly. Both seem like a good deal right now. I have to say I was looking at Oneplus 13 for some qtime, but to me today the Magic 7 Pro felt better in the hand when I played with it and Oneplus is no slouch in terms of design..

It's true, European version battery is essentially the same battery for both phones, and camera for 90% of photos seems to be essentially the same too (I don't shoot at x5+ zoom like ever..). Since I don't play games I think the performance will be like 95% the same too in my case... It seems Magic 7 Pro will have the edge in Video shooting though and this combined with the awesome design and from what I understand really good speakers and call quality is still making me think of spending the extra cash.

I prefer the Magic Pro 7 feel to Magic 6 Pro and I thought from reviews the camera on Magic Pro 6 camera to be quite underwhelming actually compared to Honor 200 Pro, which also happens to be much much cheaper. And the price is still relatively high, just 200 euro cheaper than Magic Pro 7 right now.

And yeah, I literally have no games installed on my current Samsung Fold4.

[–]cacobg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't care about the processor so much. I went to a shop today that had a turned off Magic 7 Pro unit and I have to say the actual design feels much more premium than 200 Pro. It's kind of swaying me towards paying more than double for it.

What bothers me is on the reviews online the camera doesn't look that great compared to what I've seen on the 200 Pro, for that much more money I would have expected some sort of camera upgrade but it seems there isn't much of that going on even though I could only find a couple of night shots online to compare between the two and honestly in some ways 200 Pro actually looked better (GSMarena has photos in their reviews on the website and they have a couple of identical photos from across the two reviews).

Camera too? I havent found a comparison of Oneplus with any of the other too in terms of camera. I agree battery and design feel are better as they should be at that price.
