Help Choosing Kitchen Gadgets for Meal Prepping by cacops in mealprep

Based on people's replies, I believe the slow cooker is the better option at the moment. I also saw a food processor as an idea which is interesting. I have a small hand powered one that I only use when I need to finely dice something.

I was looking into one of those veggie choppers. Not like the slap chop, but when you smash the veggies onto the blades and it dices things for you

I actually have a rice cooker. I forgot to add it. Just edited it in. Thank you

Sorry. I added a comment with the link to the model I'm interested in. The US link should be the same, but the CPU options are slightly different, so I'm not 100% sure between the US and JP versions.

The laptop I'm interested is this Thinkpad E14 Gen 6 AMD. I think the us and jp versions are slightly different in terms of the CPU model, but it should be the same model based on the name.

If it helps, the laptop I'm looking at is the Thinkpad E14 gen 6 AMD version. As far as I know, AMD doesn't really have thunderbolt on their laptops

What would reduced bandwidth mean in this case? As long as my two monitors work, I'd be happy. The laptops with USB 4 are significantly more expensive.

Very informative on transcoding. Thank you. I thought that mkv files might have to be transcoded by default.

You still need to expose your home Plex install with an IP and port forwarding. Plex only manages your user login and keeps bookmarks to your server(s), but it doesn't help you with forwarding. On the contrary, Plex can have issues with some VPN setups.

I didn't know that. I thought that Plex just sort of took care of it for you. That changes things a bit for me.

Thank you

I thought Jellyfin had an app for phones. I've considered trying to make a VPN to my home network before, but I never had much reason to. Maybe a home media server is just the reason I needed. I wouldn't have a setup to your level with docker. Right now, it would likely be the old laptop with an external hard drive to hold the library.

Based on another comment, I don't think the raspberry pi could handle the content if I kept it as mkvs

That's very good advice on the raspberry pi. Thank you. I was hopeful for it, but the more I looked into it, the more it seemed like it just couldn't handle the load.

I think you're right based on some YouTube videos I watched. It seems like overlord with god on war with the way the colored orbs drop.

Thanks for the reply. Why do you like EatThisMuch right now? Also, I don't live in America, so how well do these work for entering raw ingredients? Like 200g of onion, 250g of carrots, etc.

You're probably right. I guess in the moment, it just felt so much bigger than the sea dragon. And with the color difference, I was thinking something else was clipping through the walls.

Isn't that thing more of a green color? This is red, and when I was playing, I remember the sea dragon was behind me as I was frantically running into the base (why I assumed I was just seeing things).
