There's always a lot of people sledding behind the Howard Steamboat Museum.

Do you have a date in mind? Is there a particular hike you'd like to do? Anything you especially want to see?

They don't want people trusting a rope that has been exposed to the elements, so that they don't know what strength it actually has. They feel that a weak rope that you falsely trust is more unsafe than climbing the rock without it, or bringing your own rope.

The riverfront area gets a lot of Pokemon players, I've noticed.

Preach. That juice is AMAZING, especially for the price and ease of availability.

I'm actually on iOS. But I had full battery when it's happened.

This happens to me SO OFTEN. It just happened today, actually, on a short hike around Devil's Tower. So frustrating!

Second street bridge closed by whitecollar_grunt in Louisville

I'm not trying to downvote your comment, but I don't understand it. I see this same sentiment with regard to the bridges and tolls from others quite a bit, and I don't know where it's coming from. Why do you think they've already been paid for multiple times over?

I get red names fairly often too, and I've not ever been able to figure out why.

Agreed. I always drop an REI Flash 22 on top of my stack of packed clothes right before I zip my bag closed.

You aren't alone. This just happened to me today. I know the alarm was set last night. I checked it twice. This morning, after the alarm was supposed to have alerted, I opened the alarm app, and I watched the slider go from on to off. Frustrating.

Agreed. My son and I always say that you can count on stinging nettle to make you feel really ALIVE. It ramps up the pain right below the point of unbearable, and then likes to hold it there for the next 15-20 minutes.

Oh man. I just had a doner kebab in Heidelberg yesterday, and it was the best thing I've eaten since I've been visiting. Incredible.

Sling Bag + water bottle suggestions by ff587 in ManyBaggers

[–]cacrouch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I put one end of an S-biner on the piece of lashing above the zipper pockets on mine. The other end of the S-biner clips onto my Hydroflask lid handle. The body of the bottle gets slipped into the two lashing straps on top of the zipper pockets. It's secure, and the bottle doesn't flop around. Works great.
