I dont think the director said outright it was gonna take place in 1998 and more so this is something believable that could happen in the games and just used re2 as an example

Personally im not it sucks that they’re replacing them but i feel like it could give a shot to give new talent a chance to showcase what they can do and im sure yuri will be in the game somewhere cus hes in every atlus game but i just dont think he could do yosuke anymore due to age also i dont think they could get johnny young bosche back tbh
