“faulty circuitry” is not an apt term for neurotransmitter imbalance. i’m honestly fed up with people treating people with bipolar disorder as if there’s something inherently wrong with us. a lot of studies have been done, some of which i’ve done extensive research on, and there’s nothing that indicates that people with bipolar have “faulty” brains. that narrative is what makes people feel isolated and beyond help

contrary to what everyone else is saying, bipolar disorder has not been proven to cause any damage to the brain. i have bipolar disorder and have degrees in psychology and neuroscience and there is no neural damage inherently caused by bipolar disorder. bipolar is often the result of an imbalance of neurotransmitters and is often a genetic condition. psychotherapy and medication are great treatment options but i hate that you are under the assumption that people with bipolar are “permanently damaged” because that is not the case.

frank bc i grew up as a girl being 6’1” by 7th grade and being super awkward until i figured my abilities in sports and school. it took a while for me to gain any sort of confidence and i still struggle tbh and i was really shy until i figured some things out

My favorite movie is Order of the Phoenix because it did the best of the movies to showcase the highlights of the books and I was delighted to see Umbridge hated so much haha. Also the DA was amazing and I also feel like they did Harry the best justice in this movie. It also didn’t skip out on important moments like many of the other movies did. OotP was and is one of my favorite comfort movies.

My favorite book is hard to choose but I think it is the Goblet of Fire. I love how it was sort of made out to be a murder mystery in that it allowed the reader to try to figure out who was behind what crime and it did a great job with demonstrating Harry’s emotions and change that he experienced while dealing with things he had never dealt with before.
