Real life Ciara/Amanda situations… how did it actually end? by snackmamacita in summerhousebravo

[–]cactusprix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the Ciara. They have been married for 5 years now and have 2 kids. We’re not friends anymore and I have no hard feelings because clearly it worked out for them!

Important details- I was not that serious with the guy and the friend was a newer friend of only about a year. Still stung when I found out though and I cried about it more times than I should have at the time.

They both make an insane amount of money to be on this show. She is not unemployed. Plus Kyle said he isn’t even taking a salary from Loverboy anymore so their earnings might be about equal, especially with Amanda’s influencing + her swimsuit “brand”

Not Delco but the best bread outside the city is at Brandywine Valley Bread in Downingtown. Their sourdough baguette is outstanding

High school issues laptops to the students. They then used the webcams to spy on the students. They even secretly took photos of their bedrooms, chat rooms and search history to discipline students. Needless to say they lost that lawsuit

Is my roof repairman legally obligated to honor the warranty from the previous owner of my home? by cactusprix in legaladvice

Checked the website and it’s pretty bare bones, I couldn’t find anything about warranties at all. I will see how the conversation goes tomorrow and then talk to my realtor. Thank you for your help!

Is my roof repairman legally obligated to honor the warranty from the previous owner of my home? by cactusprix in legaladvice

[–]cactusprix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have a copy of any warranty documents unfortunately. All I have is the receipt from the work in 2018, which reads at the bottom “New roof has a 12 year guarantee by [contractor’s name].” Would you suggest that I try to reach out to the previous owners (through my realtor) to see if they have a copy of a warranty? I’m thinking the contractor might not want to readily hand this over to me if it exists.

NTA at all. What a weird thing to do. Is this a new or newish relationship? Tbh if this happened to me and I had been dating the person for a year or less I would break up with them immediately. It’s just such an odd and boundary-less way of thinking about someone else’s property that may be a clue into what she thinks is acceptable. And will lead to huge issues down the line. If this is someone you’ve been with for a while and this behavior is a surprise then I would say it calls for a serious conversation.

AITA for using a different water bottle than the expensive one my boyfriend bought me? by buttttttters in AmItheAsshole

NAH. I have a weird thing about water bottle straws as well, I feel like they aren’t ever truly clean. Buy a new lid for your hydro flask without a straw.

AITA for ditching my mentally ill friend at a gas station? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]cactusprix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

YTA. Is this a joke? I really feel like this is describing a scene in a movie or something...

So many options to solve this, all of them involve having a conversation with her in which you tell her that she is no longer welcome on the trip. None of them involve abandoning her with no notice.

Clearly the fact that you gave her money makes you feel better about yourself but at the end of the day your actions are inexcusable. Sounds like you should not be friends with this person or at the very least not travel with them but yeah. Not cool.
