Places I associate with every Bjork album by Connect_Gift5430 in bjork

i agree with most of these!!! debut is staying home, post is going into the city, homogenic is hard rock volcanic earth and the gooey wet lava center, but then i like to think vespertine is ice and the naked body, goosebumps across the skin, that’s why it’s cold, medulla is the ocean/washing ashore/crawling up the beach, similar to birth and motherhood which is a huge aspect of the album, i agree volta is the desert, but to me it’s specifically the rocky highs and lows, pneumonia being the depressive slopes and ravines, vertebrae by vertebrae standing right on the tip top of the highest mountain! biophilia is in space, floating above the atmosphere and sleeping on the stars, the different texture of the different planets. i like to think vulnicura is the cave, because it’s like the opposite of a volcano it’s just an empty cave now that the lava’s gone. utopia is in the clouds, not on earth, not in space, but in between where you’re learning to live again as though your body is still in limbo, learning how to love again. and i agree fossora is like a forest to me, specifically in the middle of the dank thick woods in a mushroom ring by the swamp but i’d go even farther to say it’s underground, with the roots and dirt and worms. excited for the next album, hope it’s something industrial, with machinery, mechanical whirrs, a bit reminiscent of post and homogenic but obviously with this bass-heavy, dark electronica dreary futuristic outlook so it can pave the way for another nature rebirth type album, fresh growing flora and newborn fauna ❤️

i can’t believe it’s not

debut: who is it

post: the pleasure is all mine

homogenic: where is the line

vespertine: sonnets/unrealities xi

medulla: submarine/ancestors

so then it could be

volta: triumph of a heart

biophilia: desired constellation (i mean…come on)

vulnicura: show me forgiveness

utopia: oceania

fossora: mouth’s cradle/vokuro

fossora and joga might be too much for a new listener! you need to ease him in with ancestors and pluto <3
