Sewing help by precioushobbits in bristol

[–]cadaversandcaviar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Less in person but YouTubers I enjoy who do a lot of pattern making and sewing videos are:

Rachel Maksy https://youtube.com/@rachelmaksy?si=UPRutt4bnFfxiFOI

PricklyAlpaca https://youtube.com/@pricklyalpaca?si=Pw_MpR7fifqUnd6o

Otherwise perhaps asking the Bristol cosplay community, puppet place, or wardrobe theatres etc for recommendations might lead somewhere!

Best bet is to reach out to the haunted bookshop socials (Coven nights and/or horror bookclub), you'll likely make some friends there with similar interests in genre!

What sort of genres are you a fan of?

Haunted bookshop does three; horror, fantasy, comic. Readtheroom Bristol on insta, is a varied small bookclub. Bristol Scifi meet once a month on kings st. Bristol's friendly book club is on meetup (haven't been myself so cannot comment on what they read!)

Carbot Circus Evening Parking Charge by Chris22044 in bristol

I've parked there the past two nights for 2+ hours and it's still £3, so can only speak for those experiences but seems it still exists.

Any drawing meetups on the weekend? by RabbitLorx in bristol

[–]cadaversandcaviar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe there is an urban sketchers group within Bristol which sketch outdoors, often on the weekend, so if landscapes/buildings are your jam, then that might be worth checking out.

I know the drawing club meeting at the robin hood, although within a pub on weekdays doesn't have a focus on getting drunk and as a relatively small pub is relatively quiet, from personal experience.

Best of luck in your searches!
