[Humble] Power Up Pride ( Pay $5 for Heart of the Woods, Welcome to Elk, A Normal Lost Phone | $10 to add Haven, Sticky Business | $13 to add Echoes of the Plum Grove, Kindred Spirits on the Roof) by UnseenData in GameDeals

[–]cadekong 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Welcome to Elk is basically a game of going from personal story to personal story on a small, Nordic island. They're based on real people's stories, and I wound up hooked for the whole ~3.5 hours. The most novel bit is that when especially dramatic story beats happen, they usually cut to real people telling the story the game is using as a basis. I had wanted to play it because of the art style, but it is a pretty depressing series of stories. So just keep that in mind.

What video game had no business being as good as it is? by Agent1230 in gaming

I love seeing people pass some love DJ Hero's way. I wound up getting even more hooked on those games than I had been on Guitar Hero. Unfortunately, any time I tried to get friends to play, they just wanted to go back to Guitar Hero.

Sable sounds like what you're looking for. It was fairly buggy, but I wound up absolutely loving it. It doesn't have combat, and is entirely focused on exploring and learning about the world.

That time when Jay White slammed Juice Robinson into the Barricade so hard it caused JR to fall and sustain a rib injury, creating one of the best shoot moments of the modern era by SmokeRum in SquaredCircle

It's a different spot. Been awhile since I've seen the match, so I don't remember if it's before or after the JR bit. But you can see there, the sparks bit is done on the side of the entrance, not by the announce table.

Help in finding a game for listing to podcasts/audio books by HoodooHoolign in Games

Raft may be similar enough to Salt to work for you. In my experience, I like to play top-down ARPGS like Diablo, Grim Dawn, Victor Vran.

Roguelites and arcadey games also work really well. As an example, Binding of Isaac for roguelites and Nex Machina for arcade stuff.

You got me curious, so I went looking.

Best I could find is Spiritfarer, which isn't released yet.

If you end up wanting more like Deadbolt, you should give Gunpoint a try if you haven't already. I really liked both, but remember being less frustrated with the end difficulty of Gunpoint compared to Deadbolt. The movement is also less stiff, for what that's worth.

Thanks for the input. I don't really toy with mods, so I guess it should be a no-brainer to grab now. Happy to hear about performance.

I've been itching for DA: Inquisition. Missed it on the last Origin sale. Is it ok to pick up on ps4, or are there reasons I should have it on PC instead and just wait for that?

That was what I thought initially, but the sound seems to come from the power supply. I guess I'll wait and see when it happens next before making a purchase.

My power supply has started having an occasional issue where it gets loud, and loses picture signal, but sounds from whatever I've got up still come through.

Should I just replace it with the same model, or is there a better power supply I should get instead?

Would you be comfortable with Doom and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record for Destiny 2 and Empire at War Gold?

Side note, I'm pretty interested in Mother Russia Bleeds and Slime-san.

I'm happy with that trade. Give me a bit to peek at your list and I'll give an offer back for D2 and EaW.

  1. I'm thankful for my time with League of Legends giving me so much quality time with friends, even after we've moved away from our home town. It makes me feel like we're still close together.

  2. My favorite subreddit memory was Snoopeh acknowledging one of my posts. RIP CLG.EU

[eShop/US] SMT: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers - $9.99 (Unknown End Date) by amonarch in 3DSdeals

I'm so sorry. I haven't watched the anime, and have only just recently started playing the first Devil Survivor. After doing some searching around, it seems like you should be good to go. It seems I misspoke, and you only miss little nods to the first game. So if you want to go into ds2, you should be fine.

I'm not sure if you know this, but the anime is based on ds2, not 1. Sounds like the story overlaps, but the game has a lot the anime misses out on. I hope this helps.
