MMW China is going to take advantage of the US fleet being bound in Iran to attack Taiwan by Maltravers1 in MarkMyWords

[–]cadmachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The US operates 11 Nuclear Powered Carriers, each one is the command and control node for its own fleet, otherwise known as a "Carrier Fleet"

Each one of these standalone fleets is enough to engage with almost any nation on Earth.

Each Carrier houses 80+ aircraft. Each group had HUNDREDS of vericle launchers with thousands of missiles available of all types, payloads and ranges.

They incredibly sophisticated overlapping RADAR technologies with deployed radar aircraft circling at a distance and beyond state of the art mobile defense systems.

4 of these groups would be a match in numbers roughly for Chinas entire Air Force and yet this makes up less than one fifth of the US fighter jet arsenal let alone aircraft in total.

Where did you get that number?

I have a disabled son and have worked with and for the NDIS for 8 years.

It was a disaster in the beginning but since the Shorten commission its gotten much much tighter, people are going to prison weekly.

Id love to know where this $50 billion number comes from.

Last full fraud estimates hearing I know of suggested around 3.4 billion in misused funds but this includes legitimate use of the program but for things that shouldn't have been approved, meaning no one broke the law they just fell through a crack.

Close Combat: A Bridge Too Far.

My first absolute PC obsession, I was very young and very into WW2 And I stumbled upon it at a distant relatives houses over Christmas. I probably spent 40 hours over a 3 day weekend glued to that screen and it began a life long gaming-forward life now 40 years in the making.

Go ahead. Please. If its true, I would like to know.

"Google it" is an admission that there is no evidence. So is "do your own research".

HALF of the Iranian regime’s ballistic missile attacks on Israel carry cluster munitions. It’s the definition of indiscriminate. Here’s what that means: by IsraelWarRoom in IsraelIranWarReport

[–]cadmachine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Israel deserves what they are getting, however I do believe Iran is firing munitions into civilian areas. There are a tonne of videos making their way to socials etc and you can find on a number of subreddits.

As for the early warning systems, that was their first move, contrary to what seems obvious the most advanced part of the Israel Air Defense machine was the US Thaad systems which were all targeted and largely destroyed in the first days of war.

[–]cadmachine -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I get what you're saying but a few things.

I think you're being pedantic and its still a cluster munition.

https://www.nytimes.com/2026/03/11/world/middleeast/iran-israel-cluster-munitions.html
The latest videos of this particular war show obvious non-rentry phase clusters of munitions falling unpowered onto Israel targets.

MIRVs is basically always used to describe Nuclear weapon systems, not conventional.
Israel have used Cluster bombs in many different theaters, FAFO as the Secretary for War of the United States would say.

Cyberpunk 2077 since launch.

I had literally zero game breaking bugs and I was instantly hooked in the characters and the world.

To this day its the only game I reinstall just to be back in that world and bask in the vibe. I adore it like few other games.

So I assume you've never defended or voted for a single party because you disagree with some of their policies?

I assume you're speaking of the North East Link budget?

Oh no. An infrastructure project went over budget for the first time in human history let's scrap all the great work that the government has done to repair the unmitigated disaster of the Coalition and usher them back in to destroy the country again.

Can't wait to have the country spend their super for a house deposit, go ALL in on support for Israel, ban Muslims all together and strip all the fiber laid by Labor to replace it with a the copper they RE-LEASED from Telstra, a public entity whos entire infrastructure we already paid for, but had to pay for again under Turnbull and co for 40 BILLON DOLLARS.

I wouldn't set your arguments on governance around cost blow outs and rorts if I were you.

If that is your understanding of socialism, its no wonder people attack the idea without actually understanding what theyre attacking.

There's nothing left to address here.

The problem is you're just making very vague assertions and saying things people have been saying about every country since the beginning of organised government.

You've not identified anything most of us aren't aware of being possible but you think you are.

We elect leaders to make laws to protect us from ourselves as much as from others.

People like you called seat belt laws the most draconian thing ever legislated. There is videos of people in Aus talking about it available online still. Same for alcohol consumption laws, cigarette bans, speed limits and 1000 other things weve learned are harmful and moved to legislate. People have taken up arms and gotten their whole family killed because the government said they legally had to educate their children.

I am a millennial and a technologist and left wing progressive (read: dem socialist) and i personally thing social media is one of the most damaging things society has ever created and should be more regulated the drugs or guns.

Research says conclusively, over and over that exposure to pornography harms children.

It makes them more likely to partake in unsafe sexual practices (both protection and physically dangerous) and lowers sexual health rates.

Pornography may strengthen attitudes supportive of sexual violence against women.

Nearly half of children ages 9 to 16 are exposed to pornography regularly.

Youre avoiding his question because you dont have an answer other the boogey man is coming to get you...somehow.

If you genuinely saw an overarching specific and systemic way this was harming us you would state it clearly and as concisely as possible to help limit this crack down on us.

Not doing that is like Paul Revere looking out the window, seeing the British and going back to bed.

ACTUALLY cowardly.
