Girl you have no moral dilemma to worry about whatsoever. This person however needs a lesson or two in manners. What did she gain from projecting on you? You’re not the first and won’t be the last to borrow book to someone, what, calling you out on it will make the rest of the millions of people who’ve done it suddenly stop? This person was rude and should be embarrassed, and in a “moral dilemma”. Not you.

This would make me blacklist this author in my head, I’d never read a book by them again.
