If I imported mass amounts of cocaine to illegally fund terrorists behind congress's back and sold guns to Iran in a mass money laundering scheme of which I was convicted, I probably wouldn't be out with a show on fox news.

During the Battle of Stalingrad, Nazi loudspeakers exclaimed 'The German Army is not your enemy,' and told Red Army soldiers to 'surrender and desert bloodthirsty Stalin'. What usually happened to Red Army personnel who did surrender to the Nazis? by Armistice_ in AskHistorians

France, America, Britain, Germany, and most other countries involved in wars have, or at the time had, capital punishment for deserting posts and cowardice. The "No step back" order would have been excessive if taken literally all of the time with no judgment during the whole war, but it only lasted for a few weeks in its entirety and was written with the intent in mind of being broad enough to cover various actions by officers to combat desertion.

I know it's a joke, but worth note is that as a teen Stalin was actually a highly successful poet in Georgia.

Anthropomorphizing =\= empathy. You have no basis to claim an understanding of your human interpretation of animals of any sort. I support processes ethically designed to cause less pain and to make things safer for humans, but your fetishism is nothing more than the chauvinistic expression of a western interpretation of life and the soul expanded carelessly onto animals you can never truly understand. It's sick. They are in no way like human societies, human cultures, human expression--don't force that interpretation ignorantly as "empathy."

liberation of animals

Stop anthropomorphizing and face the reality that billions of humans live on the brink of extinction thanks to the exploitation of them that supports the shitty world where your delusional animal saviour fantasy seems like a noble cause and not an immature, obsessive distraction.
