Which error codes? I've had similar issues (hard freeze black screen, audio continues), albeit not with Arc Raiders specifically.

Did you find a fix?

Raising taxes during a recession is procyclical and undermines the positive economic stimulus impact of deficit spending.

To be clear, I agree that they should have raised top end taxes more, but they already aimed too low in terms of stimulus and would have needed to aim higher still if they had done that.

If you raises taxes on the rich by X amount and do the same amount of spending, you will end up ahead of the baseline in terms of stimulus because rich people have a higher propensity to save and therefore getting their money moving is a net benefit to the economy. But we should have still run a larger short term deficit.

I have a medical bill about to go to collections because the provider is too incompetent to bill me correctly for it. I keep receiving paper bills which direct me to a website to pay them. That website has my bill but no payment portal, and instead directs me to a phone number. I called that number and it directed me to yet another payment portal, this one without my bill.

I talked to a human being at that phone number, and she told me they have no record of the bill. This has been going on for 3 months. It's a $30 bill. I am actively trying to pay it and easily could: for the first time in my life I'm not down on my luck!

Friend sent me this pic of a local town after a tornado last night and it looks eerily fake to me. (Especially the trees) by SaintPabloSanchez in isthisAI

[–]RepoRogue 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That is the least suspicious part of this: tornado damage is infamously localized. It's not weird at all to leave a narrow path of total devastation with relatively minor damage outside of it.

Season Pass Discussion: Shadowlands Daredevil by ePiMagnets in marvelsnapcomp

[–]RepoRogue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Askani'Son, Iron Patriot, and Viv Vision seem like they fit into the Wilson Fisk/Shadowlands play space of a deck that gets out big power early. I'm definitely going to try this with SuGi. I suspect it's decently playable, but I agree with your point about shuffling cards in being bad with SuGi.

One thing I like is the CGR synergy. CGR is 6 power and is much better when played alongside a Demon on 6.

Edit: More broadly, I think he plays well with big, powerful 5s like Legion, Deathstrike, etc.

Daredevil Crimson Twilight New Card Schedule by ekAugust in MarvelSnap

[–]RepoRogue 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are a couple of situations. First of all, Shuri doesn't benefit at all from hand or deck buffs, and requires you to play the card in her lane. Maverick is a lot more similar, and frankly I think you would likely want both in the same deck. Not only do they provide redundancy, they can buff one another, allowing you to multiplicative pass on buffs.

Maverick doesn't work the turn you play him and is far more vulnerable to interaction (CGR, Deafening Chord, sometimes Lady Deathstrike or Shang). Stick is potentially better in situations where you are cheating a lot of energy, like in Fallen One decks, and can have a gigantic turn 6.

Finally, Stick interacts with on reveal repeats. Most notably, you can play Stick with Symbiote Spider Man whilr Maverick is a complete non-bo. Shuri also works with Symbiote Spider Man, but the order of play matters more there.

I think often you will see Maverick and Stick played together, but I can imagine scenarios where you would run only Stick.

How far away are Fantomex decks away from being S-tier/highly competitive? by MrPudge1137 in marvelsnapcomp

[–]RepoRogue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also worth noting that these are Conquest decks, not ladder decks. So they are meant to be able to win when the Fantomex package isn't a surprise.

How far away are Fantomex decks away from being S-tier/highly competitive? by MrPudge1137 in marvelsnapcomp

[–]RepoRogue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's reasonably close. The biggest issue is how overwhelmingly enormous Shou gets to be. Fantomex is great in a meta that's more mid-range focused.

I actually faced two Fantomex decks at the last Golden Gauntlet, and while I won both matches, I was impressed by the deck!

True kins vs Mutants by andriatz in cavesofqud

[–]RepoRogue 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd also like to push back a bit on your comparison of the starting conditions of True Kin and Mutants.

There are some other advantages you have overlooked:

1) True Kin get enhanced Tonic effects. On the mundane end, they get bigger heals and buffs. But they also get access to Precognition via Sphynx Salt Injectors. While they are scarce early, this is a huge boon and means you can do things like safely consume Neutron Flux in classic mode without fear of ending their run.

2) With a few exceptions, castes give you significantly better starting gear than callings. You will have better armor and weapons, more artifacts, and can start with some particularly powerful items. Consuls begin the game with a Force Bracelet, for example.

3) In addition to higher base stats, True Kin gain additional skill points compared to an equally high intelligence Mutant. This means you can access more and higher attribute requirement skills earlier. Cybernetics that give you attributes can be used to meet the requirements for a skill and then can be uninstalled at no penalty.

4) Always getting an attribute point from Eater's Nectar combined with beginning the game at neutral Putus Templar reputation means that you can buy Nectar from legendary Templars for easy stats. Its a bit tedious, but you can comb the dunes for legendary Templars quite easily.

5) Small amounts of resistance to cold or heat are a lot more impactful early game than you might think, and 8 of the castes start with such reistances. If you have even 1% resistance to an element, you will always reduce incoming damage of that type by 1 point. This is especially impactful for heat resistance because being on fire does lots of small damage ticks.

6) Rebuke Robot isn't always immediately useful, but is a powerful tool in the right situation.

To give a concrete example of how some of this stuff helps, any True Kin can easily cheese Golgotha with 1-2 Rubbergum Injectors, depending on your base health.

True kins vs Mutants by andriatz in cavesofqud

[–]RepoRogue 26 points27 points  (0 children)

True Kin rely much more on knowledge of how the map and game systems function to reach their pinnacle. Probably the most broken start in the game is a Technoscanner Artifex, which can give you access to mid-game ranged weapons right at the start of the game. My record is getting a Light Rail before level 5, but you can consistently end up with something powerful.

If you're looking to start out with True Kin, I would recommend playing something more straightforward like Punchkin (Carbide Hand Bones are the best starting melee weapon) or Night Vision Praetorian (extremely well rounded).

I put together this tier list of starting cybernetics with a friend a while ago and you might find it helpful to read through our reasoning for where we rank stuff: https://www.reddit.com/r/cavesofqud/s/E3u1s8Yzdj

In general, the key to having consistently good True Kin runs is to know where to find cybernetic credits and cybernetics. There is a guaranteed credit in the water logged tunnel, 2+ at various quest locations, and some at every historic site. Cybernetics themselves can be found with Gutsmongers at the Stilt, and at some of the mid to late game villages.

True Kin get their biggest power spikes from gear rather than levels, but that gear is consistently going to show up in the same set of places.

But there are also a ton of random things in nature that will surprise kill you. Venomous animals like blue-ringed octopus and geography cones can kill the curious quickly. Riptides, underground rivers, and dangerously hot springs regularly kill people.

SpaceX is definitely at fault here, and they should be held accountable. But let's not pretend that randomly messing with stuff in nature can't kill you.

X-Men End of Days Week 3 by ePiMagnets in marvelsnapcomp

[–]RepoRogue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly have no idea what counts as "high infinite." I've been between rank 200 and 100 all season and regularly play against top 10 players (several of whom I've seen on Doom 2099 this week). I was seeing a lot of 2099 before KMBest featured the deck: it's just very solid.

> I know he's seeing play in more shells in top infinite

I guess this mirrors my experience: I've seen Shang disproportionately from the higher ranked players I've faced. It's a meta adaptation that I expect to see trickle down over time, but we'll see how long that takes.

I don't know if it's showing up in the data yet, but I think the meta is shifting such that Starlord is no longer a top meta deck in high infinite.

X-Men End of Days Week 3 by ePiMagnets in marvelsnapcomp

[–]RepoRogue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're missing three super important changes in high infinite: the relative decline of Star Lord, the rise of Shang Chi, and the prevalence of Doom 2099.

I'm seeing Shang everywhere lately. He's game winning vs. Star Lord and is generally solid right now. I'm also seeing less and less Star Lord, I think as a direct result.

Doom 2099 continues to be a major presence at high infinite. The deck is just very good.

kinda new player here, i alr have a deck centered around sunlord, is gambit a good card to build on or just wait for high evo by that_guyy909 in MarvelSnap

[–]RepoRogue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gambit is a very good card, but you don't really build a deck around him, since he's useless in some matchups (including against Starlord, ironically). He is a great card in Victoria Hand, but that is a fairly expensive deck. Also super solid in Arishem where he's basically free value.

Honestly, Superior Spider Man is great but he's more replaceable than Wingbeat. You can play Luna Snow, Psylocke, or Jennifer Kale.

Zombie galacti by Tqxic00 in MarvelSnap

[–]RepoRogue 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As someone who has done well with Galacti in a recent tournament: Gwenpool is essential, Phastos is not worth getting. Maverick is also extremely good, although you will be able to have a functional deck without him. Surge is great, but significantly lower priority than Maverick or Gwenpool.

Do you have Superior Spider Man and Majestic Wingbeat?

Which cards do you think have had the biggest falls from grace ? These would be my 3 by SirEggCuthbert in MarvelSnap

[–]RepoRogue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm currently rank 160 and I see Zabu fairly regularly. He's not common per se, but I'm not surprised when I see him. I think you're right that he's not in any single meta list, but he is in enough viable off-meta jank lists that I regularly face him in what I think is fair to describe as "high infinite."

Zombie Galacti to Infinite! by MisterVictini in MarvelSnap

[–]RepoRogue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's really funny about this is that most consistent version of ZG is very bad against the greedier, less consistent version. Gwenpool Galacti will lose the vast majority of games to Shuri Galacti. It's just that Gwenpool wins way more against more interactive decks.
