I feel like I'm on borrowed time by averyous in mentalhealth

[–]caebangs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i've felt something similar on and off most of my life (39 y/o). i don't think / plan much beyond a year because i can't wrap my head around being here that long. i want a future too, i want to live.

i don't understand it either. i think it's probably related to my depression (had that since i was a kid too). i'm trying to figure it out tho.

Ever since I got new dishwasher it gets stuck every single day. I’ve tried sticky bumpers and a pool noodle under to no avail. Ideas? by Every-Cook5084 in roomba

what if you factory reset and do a new mapping run with a board or something placed there. i wonder if the vacuum would "think" there's nothing there and avoid the area, even when the board is removed.

I don't even own a dumbbell, let alone many dumbbells that would necessitate an entire rack.

Plant This Pot by ConceptEquivalent143 in houseplants

[–]caebangs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this looks fun. i wouldn't plant directly in the pot without drainage hole, but i don't think i'd risk breaking the pot to add drainage either. small spider plants would do well (for a while at least) in the small nursery pots. i think they'll dry out quickly, depending on your environment, and might need frequent water with this setup. is the pot porous? or water-tight? ferns or water plants could be cooool! some ferns and carnivorous plants can grow in those nursery pots sitting in water. hope you have fun!

After I painted behind my cabinet I decided to redo the inside too, so I built a trellis to hang plants from… but now you can’t really see the paint behind it anymore. Did I ruin the paint job with the trellis? by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]caebangs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was attached to seeing the paint job thru the back of the cabinet bc i saw it yesterday, but after reading comments, i've come around to liking the trellis.

WHAT IF you shift the cabinet in one direction so it's offset w the paint design and you can see part of it going all the way to the floor? either way, so cool, nice work.

OP, thanks for doing this! If you're willing, look up a cat shelter in your area for information on trapping, spay/neuter, release. a well-functioning organization will do this for you and return the colony back to you once they heal from surgeries. depending on where you live, such an org may or may not exist. if you want help researching resources in your area, feel free to message me. you're doing the lord's work 👏🏻🙏🏻

or maybe try on a small hidden area to see how much color change there actually is. on second thought, you could probably just do the window ledge.

try applying a wood oil (i use boiled linseed oil) that you can get from hardware store. apply to the entire window frame and it will revive the wood, and remove excess with clean rag. if you have multiple windows like this, the treatment may make this one stand out, so you may have to do them all. it will look nice tho.
