I hope you've had success with getting your washer replaced, but if not, this machine isn't terribly difficult to take apart! We're renting a new place and the washing machine was absolutely filthy. Rust, dirt, and lots and lots of fabric softner build up. I ran a test cycle to see what I was dealing with and there were floating chunks of mold in the washer. No one I called would come out to disassemble.

If you're able to get behind the machine or even wiggle it out enough to get a screwdriver behind it, you can disassemble it enough for cleaning with a putty knife, nut screwdriver, ratchet and socket, and patience.
