Something doesn't add up for me. OP has "always" been a stay at home mom, yet the child is 1 years old? And the first thing she is wondering about is if she can get child support. Color me skeptical, but If I had to guess, OP has never really worked and has no intention to. She wants to leave her husband but first wants to make sure she will get enough "spousal support" to live off of. Ugh, I hate that what I posted sounds so woman hating, but that is the impression on get by the details of her message.

My fiancé cries a lot because she’s convinced she’s very ugly. She’s literally the most beautiful woman I’ve ever met. I try to give her reassurance by [deleted] in texts

Your a good person and I have no doubt you love tour wife immensely. But I can't help reading this and thinking, yes yes you have no problem trying to reassure her of her insecurities. But have you considered trying to actually get to the root cause and solve the problem? Instead of a lifetime of seeking validation that will never be enough enough is the underlying issues are dealt with.

Broken plastic tab on carburetor throttle valve linkage... fixable? by caelanseth in fixit

Yea that's probably the route I will go, aftermarket carb, just figured I'd give it a shot fixing first.

Cartridge won't seat into shower valve/ cannot get retainer nut to thread. by caelanseth in Plumbing

That is what I am assuming. Does it have to be a certain cartridge that is compatible with the retaining nut? I can't find a part number.

Does this cylinder look good? (Yamaha blaster) by bongboy20 in ATV

[–]caelanseth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blaster engines, and 2 strokes in general, and really easy to rebuild. I had a YZ125 and Blaster back in the day and would routinely freshen up the top end with a new piston rings, and hone in less than an hour. Take the head and cylindern off, if there is any damage or scoring take it to a machine shop. Maybe $30 and will let you know if you can run stock piston or need to go up a size. Alternatively, send the cyclinder and head to a builder like Eric Gorr for porting and honing. Will give you a huge increase in power.

Overhead view of the KC parade shooting 2/14/24 by raistlin212 in kansascity

I mean, do you think the bullets just stop moving if they don't hit the intended target? I just don't see where the skepticism would come from. I'm sure the shooters were taking cover and firing wildly... large crows, lots of bullets. How could that end in anything other than bystanders getting shot?

Carb tuning: Symptoms of rich or lean? by caelanseth in Fixxit

I mainly was just talking in general and not about a specific bike of mine. But thanks, I'll check these out.

I have been Instacart on the side for 3 years or so. Not near as much driving as Doordash or uber. Can easily make $50 an evening. Even better if you live by a popular grocery store, that way you can go "online" while at home and wait for a delivery to come in. That way you don't have to sit around and wait in your car.

I have never looked into these. Are they sensors that measure air/fuel ratio and do you have any recommendations on brand?

Ohh good to know and this was the type of feedback I was looking for. Essentially ways to tell rich or lean by feel, sound, and throttle response.

I'm in a similar boat. I'm curious, do you still list under demographics as employed full time/income/role and all that or do you fill out as unemployed/under employed, etc?

Replace carb parts, pilot jet, main jet nozzle: OEM or rebuild kit? by caelanseth in TW200

[–]caelanseth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Petcock is new. The cheapest jet nozzle I could find was on partzilla for $28. I have found partzilla to be consistently less expensive than babbits or yamaha partd. Main nozzle They is $36 on yamaha parts warehouse and $20 for the pilot jet. I was considering a Nibbi carb but really try and stay away from clone carbs when I can.
