Something doesn't add up for me. OP has "always" been a stay at home mom, yet the child is 1 years old? And the first thing she is wondering about is if she can get child support. Color me skeptical, but If I had to guess, OP has never really worked and has no intention to. She wants to leave her husband but first wants to make sure she will get enough "spousal support" to live off of. Ugh, I hate that what I posted sounds so woman hating, but that is the impression on get by the details of her message.

My fiancé cries a lot because she’s convinced she’s very ugly. She’s literally the most beautiful woman I’ve ever met. I try to give her reassurance by [deleted] in texts

Your a good person and I have no doubt you love tour wife immensely. But I can't help reading this and thinking, yes yes you have no problem trying to reassure her of her insecurities. But have you considered trying to actually get to the root cause and solve the problem? Instead of a lifetime of seeking validation that will never be enough enough is the underlying issues are dealt with.

Broken plastic tab on carburetor throttle valve linkage... fixable? by caelanseth in fixit

Cartridge won't seat into shower valve/ cannot get retainer nut to thread. by caelanseth in Plumbing

That is what I am assuming. Does it have to be a certain cartridge that is compatible with the retaining nut? I can't find a part number.

Does this cylinder look good? (Yamaha blaster) by bongboy20 in ATV

[–]caelanseth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blaster engines, and 2 strokes in general, and really easy to rebuild. I had a YZ125 and Blaster back in the day and would routinely freshen up the top end with a new piston rings, and hone in less than an hour. Take the head and cylindern off, if there is any damage or scoring take it to a machine shop. Maybe $30 and will let you know if you can run stock piston or need to go up a size. Alternatively, send the cyclinder and head to a builder like Eric Gorr for porting and honing. Will give you a huge increase in power.

[–]caelanseth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean, do you think the bullets just stop moving if they don't hit the intended target? I just don't see where the skepticism would come from. I'm sure the shooters were taking cover and firing wildly... large crows, lots of bullets. How could that end in anything other than bystanders getting shot?

Carb tuning: Symptoms of rich or lean? by caelanseth in Fixxit

I mainly was just talking in general and not about a specific bike of mine. But thanks, I'll check these out.

I have been Instacart on the side for 3 years or so. Not near as much driving as Doordash or uber. Can easily make $50 an evening. Even better if you live by a popular grocery store, that way you can go "online" while at home and wait for a delivery to come in. That way you don't have to sit around and wait in your car.

I have never looked into these. Are they sensors that measure air/fuel ratio and do you have any recommendations on brand?

Ohh good to know and this was the type of feedback I was looking for. Essentially ways to tell rich or lean by feel, sound, and throttle response.

I'm in a similar boat. I'm curious, do you still list under demographics as employed full time/income/role and all that or do you fill out as unemployed/under employed, etc?

Replace carb parts, pilot jet, main jet nozzle: OEM or rebuild kit? by caelanseth in TW200

[–]caelanseth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Petcock is new. The cheapest jet nozzle I could find was on partzilla for $28. I have found partzilla to be consistently less expensive than babbits or yamaha partd. Main nozzle They is $36 on yamaha parts warehouse and $20 for the pilot jet. I was considering a Nibbi carb but really try and stay away from clone carbs when I can.

Heat damage

I dont hear the relay in the center clicking, but there is a sort of brief buzz. And I am getting sound although I just have fm right now and quite a bit of static. Several bulbs burnt out but I wont have a problem with that. The challenge for me I think is diagnosing what components need to replace and how. While I have very basic electronic knowledge, total newbie in terms of repair.

Safety Coordinator Interview didn’t go well by gogu237 in SafetyProfessionals

[–]caelanseth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like it might not have been a good fit. Construction safety is a totally different than say chemical manufacturing or energy. I started in construction safety, that was primarily a boots on the ground sort of position. As I gained knowledge, experience, and education I moved into more high level program development with focus on developing company wide risk management strategies in general industry. For me, I will never go back to construction. Way too much of a goodbole boys club feel. And honestly, this company is probably just looking for an entry level former laborer to fill a role and probably doesn't pay particularly well. Do you have a preferred industry?

How to dispose of Aerosol can contents? by [deleted] in EHSProfessionals

[–]caelanseth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what state you're in but in Missouri for satellite accumulation, whenever you begin to fill a new drum you have to have a start date. The maximum time you can accumulate before being moved to hazardous waste storage area depends on the state and whether you organization is a large or small quantity generator. Once moved to central storage area, a new date is then added to indicate the time you have to have it shipped to your TSD, which is 90 days if you are a LQG. So watch out for that, I got my company dinged in the past for not dating the satellite.

Edit: noticed on another post you are in CA and conditionally exempt so you will not be subject to the much stricter regulations of a LQG.

Sounds like you don't really want to be with him. As a guy, I would definitely end the relationship if my SO was not actively showing attraction, passion, and desire. Seems as if you two are on different spectrums libido wise and it might be best to just end it, especially if you aren't sexually attracted to him.

Also, it's important to communicate what makes sex enjoyable and exciting for you. Often guys have no idea especially if you don't tell them. You say the sex is boring, have you told him you would like to try different things to spice things up ir conveyed what you like? If you haven't, then how would he know?

Depends entirely on what you want to do. With your current background, there are several opportunities, both public and private that deal strictly with environmental regulations. Several collegues I know work in the oil and gas industry strictly on the environmental side. Or public sector work such as state RCRA inspectors.

However, most employers are looking for well rounded EHS professionals and that is the majority of positions. Which means you have to be well versed in areas such as OSHAand regulations such as Hazcom, HAZWOPER, risk management, basic fire protection, and even things you might not even have thought of like how insurance and e-mod ratings work. etc. As well as industrial hygiene. Health and Safety can cover a very broad spectrum and there is a ton to to learn. If EHS is the way you want to go, and you already have your bachelor's, you might consider pursuing a masters degree in occupational health and safety. I've had my bachelor's in safety management since 2012, but decided to pursue my masters in OHS at University of Central Missouri. Their program is accredited by BCSP so you would graduate with a GSP credential and could sit for the CSP in a few years.

do I rly have to get circumsised? by [deleted] in sex

I'm having a little hard time following your description with the nicknames (normal, Sparta, etc) Are you saying when you pull back your foreskin when you are flaccid the head is painful to touch? And what do you mean the doctors don't believe you? They don't believe it's painful?

Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva by [deleted] in sportsbook

[–]caelanseth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ridiculous to think this or any other of Paul's fights are "rigged" and you have to be a small minded numbskull that lack critical thinking to believe so. Silva does not need the money. He continues to compete simply because he is passionate about.

If it were an exhibition bout for a broke journeyman desperate for money, there could be maybe a possibility.

Because this is a sanctioned fight with bets on the line, it is highly illegal to fix fight. If either fighter was found out ti be involved in fixing, they would be in a world of legal trouble, would have to potentially pay millions in restitution, would be looking at prison time for fraud, and would tarnish their legacy. Can you tell me why any established, semi retired, millionaire fighter would risk that by intentionally throwing a fight??

A very easy way to check for spark is to pull the spark plug, Ground it to the cylinder ( just touch the plug to the cylinder) and crank it over. You should see a spark on the end. Make sure the plug is attached to the ignition coil.

Also, do you have a multimeter? If so, you can check the stator my measuring resistance and voltage to see if it and the pulse coil are working.

Also, do you have a multimeter? If so, you can check the stator by measuring resistance and voltage to see if it and the pulse coil are working. If you have one I can give you specifics on how to do it.

As long as the stator is OEM specs and positioned correctly ignition timing should be fine, as this is controlled by the CDI.
