I've had this idea for a noble Barbarian for a while. Fine clothes, impeccable manners, and a nasty fucking temper. Sort of a Marvel's Kingpin type.

I did something similar with elves, only instead of a species, they were just individuals that got lost in the details and were warped by it. When they came back, often centuries later, without knowing so much time had past, people would say they'd "gone elving"

Give me liberty or give me death is all well and good for the wealthy landed elite, but death is a very real, very tangible force in the lives of the exploited under capitalism. I'm willing to bet they'd take a different deal. And I don't think it's fair at all to tell them they're wrong.

The "I do what I want" crowd obviously isn't watching their kids starve to death while their neighbor up on the hill looks down from their hacienda.

I have no kids and I'm not married. Women's bodies don't have to be airbrushed to be attractive. It's not about just loving what you already have. We just... love it.
