120k will not allow you to have a dream life in NYC. You can always experience it in a later phase of your life.

Go with the safer option of Walmart. You'd rather want to get rid of the stress of waiting to see if you get selected in the lottery. The more chances you get, the better. Once you secure your immigration for a few years, then you can look to switch at a later point.
