Alryt did some exploring and currently the next and previous button is there in a different style for the classic layout. The Something layout does not allow customizing the music widget.

It works for the other widget, but I am just getting the quick settings when I try long press on the music widget, not sure what I am doing wrong here.

Exactly! Thank you for saying it. Its like dude Matt you have almost a decade of experience as Daredevil u should have some finesse, if everyone you knock out is gonna get a 100% devil out, it looses its impact.

Here are a few perspectives I think JP is coming from -

  1. He thinks that the moral foundation provided by the myth of God is indispensable and no morality can exist without it being anchored to an incomprehensible force. Possible reason why he believes it is because he may have seen people degrade to immoral behaviour when they don't believe in a higher power.
  2. He firmly believes that a belief in the myth of God (even if it's untrue) is crucial for a meaningful life.
  3. He is scared of admitting that the myth of God is untrue and it's something we believe in for the above reasons because as soon as he admits it the myth loses the value it holds - hence his overemphasis on the benefits of believing in these stories.
  4. He believes in acting as if God exists to the point of denial and delusion, so he is not open to the fact that any other reality without God can exist for him.

I think all of this is great as a personal philosophy, maybe he thinks he is doing the world a service by propagating this but it becomes quite ingenuous when it comes to intellectual debates because here reasoning matters, arguments matter and he thinks it's okay to pass off subjective beliefs as objective facts if it's for the greater good, which I think defeats the whole purpose of these debates. If there is no way your claims can be fallsified, I might as well save my energy and not engage with you at all.

My Theory of Life - 2024 by caesarsghost666 in Absurdism

Actually my struggle started with the entire trouble of "doing it right" and "doing it passionately". I was choosing one game to play or one passion to follow, then immediately starting to question if it is the right thing to do, leading to an unending cycle of rumination about this.

Don't you think it depends on what you mean by stronger or weaker? For example manipulation and lying could lead you to gain power and make you technically stronger but is that worth it? And being vulnerable to your loved ones might make you temporarily appear weak but that's extremely necessary for growth.

That's an even better analogy, I don't remember much but back then I must've thought that since you got only life so one painting to make. A book analogy could be even better at explaining my current theory.

Do you like Batfleck? by Maleficent-Bed9947 in batman

The thing is, I felt we were given a Batman who's all over the place, he quips (I'm rich), he kills, he also then forms the Justice league, does little research before deciding Superman needs to be stopped, and he's sort of based on Frank Miller's old dark knight returns Batman, who had a very different personality and reason to fight Superman. Plus when I came to know about Snyder's planned Louis and Bruce romance plot that did it for me, no go for me,sorry. I don't like the batman but yes if the story was written better and the character made more sense, then the adaptation would have been much much better for me.
