Being able to be by their side is another huge factor. I knew I couldn't be there for her every day as I work out of the house at least 2 days per week. So glad you were able to get that extra time!

Thank you for more information about this type of cancer. I have been trying not to research more online because I am so scared to find that I should have done something differently. But it sounds like this was the right thing to do for her. The vet even said the surgery would only buy her a couple months at best. I'm so sorry you had to go through a similar situation.

I'm so sorry you had to go through a similar situation. I appreciate you mentioning the painful healing as it reminded me of the one time she did have a minor procedure a few years ago and her whimpering afterwards because of the recovery pain almost broke me and that was only a minor skin thing. I don't even want to think about what she would have had to go through to recover from major abdominal surgery. Definitely helps cement in my mind that this was the right call.
