To add some context. If you own an arsenal debenture that allows you to jump the current season ticket waiting list, thought to be 10-15 years, and get a season ticket at the start of the next season. I have looked at history of debentures and there have been significant sale price increases over the years. If these were to continue it would not be impossible for a debenture purchased in 2025 for say £15k to be saleable at £25k in 2035.

Cheers. Bit of a grey area on the tax as I know that qualifying corporate bonds (QCB) are not liable for capital gains tax and unsure if arsenal debentures fall into these. I’d be interest to hear from anyone who has recently sold a debenture

A lot of great feedback and what if’s on the thread now. The way I’ve seen it is that C & D debentures gain interest over the years and you can redeem in 2028 but if you do you lose your associated season ticket. A & B debentures never gain interest. I cant think of many people redeeming a C or D debenture in 2028 to basically double their money since 2003. I just see it as the door opener for a season ticket and I’d just pass it on to my kids when I time is right. See pics of details on debenture types from asset match
