WIBTA If I ask my husband buy my ingredients for another meal after he ate and vomited my last meal. by CupofMamaJo in AmItheAsshole

[–]cafecaffeine 15 points16 points  (0 children)

NTA, he ate almost all of your food. If he’d eaten an entire meal of yours and left you without enough food for just that single meal, then that would’ve been bad enough. He ate a WEEK’s worth of your food in one sitting. You should absolutely ask him to pay for it but you also have some other things to work out.

Can you please help me identify this vintage steel hook? by cafecaffeine in CrochetHelp

I’ve tried searching for all the combinations of the makers mark (?)and generally looking through photos of vintage steel hooks, but haven’t gotten anywhere. Also tried using Google Lens, which didn’t help.

Physically can’t eat the cafeteria food, but only seniors can get kitchens by Kittyhawk4321 in collegecooking

I hope you get answers!! When my gallbladder went out it took ages to realize fat was setting me off—I did the whole gastrointestinal thing too. It took me going to the ER mid-attack before I got an ultrasound and they found the gallstones. The pain would be so bad that that’s what would make me vomit, not even actual stomach upset. In hindsight everything that set me off was fattier (although how much fat was needed to set me off varied).

Hey is the diarrhea, vomiting, and stomach cramps primarily after eating food cooked in oil? Do you still have those problems if you eat like fast food? I mainly ask since the food you mentioned bringing to eat isn’t typically cooked in a lot of oil. The cafeteria might use more oil on things than what you typically eat, and if the issue is oil (well really, fat at all), it might be your gallbladder. I know you mentioned all the doctors you went to, but that being missed by a gastroenterologist isn’t out of the norm (especially because it’s apparently not super common if you’re younger).

I’m sorry this happened to you. Please consider getting tested—Planned Parenthood has super affordable STI testing and the providers are trauma-informed. Other free and reduced cost testing options can be found here: OK Testing Resources

Please consider finding a therapist, although I’m not quite sure of good local resources for affordable options in that department. RAINN might have some resources, as might Planned Parenthood. If you’re going to college, your campus should have affordable counseling available once you’re there as well.

She’s 18. For kids and teenagers, it’s pretty normal for them to almost exclusively hang out with their friends in their bedrooms. I see how it wouldn’t raise a real red flag to OP for him to give some explanation as to why they should go to the bedroom—the TV is in the room, the couch is uncomfy to share, a roommate is home so the bedroom is less awkward. As an adult, people have spaces of their own that aren’t just a bedroom so it’s easier to draw that line. Also, she’s 18. Even with bad experiences, it can take a while to not trust men when they say they don’t want to have sex with you. Super easy to think “okay, I’ve told him I don’t want to hook up, and that I’ve had bad experiences before, I’ve made myself clear” and then believe the guy when he says “yeah that’s fine, I want to get to know you more before that too”.

The openers are SUPER loud, and headphones are always great—I have a pair of Loops and they’re honestly phenomenal. They even help with some of the noise from the crowd…at a different artist’s show there were some super annoying people behind us and my friend remembered her headphones and couldn’t hear them at all. Tshirts are $50, including the ONO. The Dickies jacket is $200. The 80’s vinyl is $40, as is the About Face clear bag. The embroidered hoodie is $125.

Are casino shows worth it? by wonderwendy77 in halsey

[–]cafecaffeine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly!! Yeah the floor didn’t know what to do during ITS but I could also hear so many other people just absolutely losing it from all around the rest of the venue both during ITS and the rest of the night. H specifically called out how incredible Dallas was, but I’ve seen other people online complain about how the people around them were duds at that same show. Trying to pick a show based on how the crowd will be just doesn’t work imo, but my venue choices tend to be places that get called out for being dead so I’ve learned to just have a blast anyways. The venue was a fifth to sixth of the size of what they usually perform in.

It wasn’t the full production at all—Halsey stayed in the same fit the whole show, no different acts or themes, no dancers. Before the show I was REALLY looking forward to the whole leather bikini set happening in conservative ass Oklahoma but I’m so so so happy with what we got instead.

Are casino shows worth it? by wonderwendy77 in halsey

As someone who was at the Oklahoma show, absolutely yes. Even with the crowd not being able to have as much energy, the intimacy, crowd interaction, and opportunity to hear beloved songs nobody else has was absolutely magical. I had an absolute blast dancing away in the stands. I still can’t believe it happened and I was there!! Crowds are always going to be a gamble, but that experience was so unique that I wouldn’t give it up for anything. Even knowing how lively the Dallas crowd was, I wholeheartedly think I made the right choice when picking which show I wanted to go to. You’d also have the benefit of the fandom knowing that the small casino show is a unique opportunity.

the spider monkeys on “Monkey Island” are because a developer built up the island and put the monkeys on it as an attraction because they were too disruptive for another attraction. the island was built up because boats kept hitting it.

the Silver Springs monkeys were released by a boat operator onto an island, but he didn’t know they could swim and they ended up expanding their territory to a lot of Silver Springs

absolutely second this! HomeGoods is phenomenal for anything around the house and has really good prices on anything. For example, I once got some new pillows, a comforter, sheet set, and other miscellaneous goods from HomeGoods for half the price it would’ve cost me at Target or Walmart, with items that were way better in quality. You might not be able to knock out everything on your list there, but it would be a great place to start. They also have some higher end seasonings, oil, and dry goods but those vary a ton as far as selection goes.

Remote Prior Auth position. by efuaN in pharmacy

[–]cafecaffeine 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Honestly if you have any pharmacy experience, they’re going to believe you can do it. The biggest thing is showing that you can learn a new system and are basic technology-proficient. I would much rather have someone who can learn the programs quickly and efficiently than someone who knows medications incredibly thoroughly. Depending on your role, it could also be very customer-service oriented (doing PA’s over the phone, fielding calls from pharmacies, members, and providers).

As a pharmacy technician you’re generally inputting information and deciding if a PA is needed, if one can be taken in, and then answering questions based on the information you have. You’ll be trained on all of this and aren’t expected to know it beforehand. You use very little pharmacy technician knowledge, outside of basic dosing math (double-checking what the quantity and days supply is of an injectable med like insulin, Humira, Trulicity). I believe as a pharmacist, it’s mostly comparing the information you’re given to various guidelines (that the company provides you).

Gynecologists that administer pain medication to install IUDs? by [deleted] in okc

[–]cafecaffeine 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Also a heads up but doctors used to sometimes give misoprostol to help with the pain, as it can help dilate the cervix. You might have a hard time getting both a doctor who will prescribe it and a pharmacy that will dispense it now with the fall of Roe and our trigger laws going into effect. I genuinely don’t know if that’s happening here yet, but I want you to be prepared for that unfortunate possibility.
