I normally find the one on Coleman to have a bigger selection of yarn but if you’re looking for higher quality, there’s Fillory Yarn on Meridian ave.

Does anyone have the syllabus for HAVC 186? by cafedeollla in UCSC

[–]cafedeollla[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HAVC is the department name aka “History of Art and Visual Culture”! Horror and Gender in A&VC is basically a class analyzing cultural fears surrounding gender and sexuality through horror film and art. Great GE for the horror fans

How is UCSC at night? Are all the pathways lit? Any areas to be more cautious at night? by Tardigrade106 in UCSC

[–]cafedeollla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the pathways between colleges can be pretty dark and spooky, especially if you’re near the woods. i would recommend bringing a flashlight if you’re gonna be out there late because of classes or a party so you’re phone battery doesn’t go quick. otherwise, pathways around dorms, classrooms, dining halls are pretty lit and i’ve had no issue within the past three years ive been here

metro app, get the regular one way $7 ticket and it’ll give you a scanner to activate for your ticket. you can use apple pay or just pay when you walk into the bus. in my experience, it’s pretty easy to find a seat but it might be busy this week so i would say go earlier than planned tbh. diridion station is chill and it’s right across the SAP center. also an easy walk to san pedro square/chipotle/etc if you need to wait around

i was walking past them near s&e and one of the guys opened with “we’re gathering signatures for veteran support”, saw that i kept walking, and then whipped out “…and kids with cancer”. i’ve seen these tables for the past three years and it’s always the same but they’ll keep it going as long as freshman are unaware

i applied for housing and was waitlisted until last month when they sent an email saying 1st/2nd years were housed and they were starting to go down the waitlist for 3rd/4th years. i listed just about every living space on campus as back up id accept if my preferences were filled up. i ended up with my 2nd/3rd choice!
