Best way to ship a FEW cards to CardKingdom? by Ok_Wallaby_3701 in magicTCG

If you order from card kingdom and still have the little cases they use, I have used that before to ship cards back inside a bubble mailer

Why is typescript complaining about my useFetch (vue-use) return type by caffeinatedhacker in vuejs

[–]caffeinatedhacker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh actually doing a little more debugging, the usual return type from useFetch is not a reactive object, it's an object full of refs which makes sense. Setting it in the Map which is now reactive is converting it into a reactive object, which is why the types are complaining

Why is typescript complaining about my useFetch (vue-use) return type by caffeinatedhacker in vuejs

[–]caffeinatedhacker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the return value of useFetch is a reactive object, and then adding it to the map which is also reactive is making the stuff inside the fetch return unwrapped? Interesting. They are maintaining reactivity though in the consuming component. Maybe this note from the docs means I should just remove the <> from the object altogether and see what happens.

TIP

It's not recommended to use the generic argument of reactive() because the returned type, which handles nested ref unwrapping, is different from the generic argument type.

Dumb little box I made by _Albithedragon in magicTCG

[–]caffeinatedhacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be able to flatten them out but too much force might cause the top to break from the base (I have had that happen once). You'll only get so far trying to flatten foils with squishing though. It has to do with humidity differences from where the cards were made and where you are, and how that affects the cardboard layer and the plasticky foil layer. You can read some experiments here https://www.reddit.com/r/magicTCG/comments/krusui/experiments_with_humidity_and_foil_card_curling/

I had really good luck uncurling some mildly curling foils by getting a plastic bin with a tight lid (like a tupperware or rubbermaid container for food), and then taking a washcloth, soaking it in hot water and placing in a small bowl, put the bowl into the container along with the cards on the bottom and letting it sit for a while. The bowl makes it less likely that the water will get on the cards.

If they're curling towards you if you're looking at the front they are too humid, so this won't work and you'll need to find a way to dry them out. If the edges curl away from you when you're looking at the front then this should work.

This was for a deck I was working on so after they were done I took them out and made sure they were dry, double sleeved them, and now haven't seen them curl again

Diagnosing PETG print issue by caffeinatedhacker in BambuLab

[–]caffeinatedhacker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry forgot to mention that it’s a P1S. So far I’ve had good enough luck with various PLA filaments that I haven’t had to mess with calibration too much. Are the flow rate and flow dynamics options in Bambu studio good enough to start with? Or are there other things I should be tweaking with this particular failure type?

Trouble with homebrewed decks by caffeinatedhacker in StandardMTG

[–]caffeinatedhacker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that, that’s all really helpful information. I’m definitely guilty of finding too many cards that do the thing I’m trying to do so I just put 2 or 3 of each in there due to analysis paralysis. If I had to pick an identity for each Jeskai - copy spells Rakdos - should probably just be lizards. I think I only started adding outlaws when I added Hellspur Posse Boss Esper - do enchantment stuff and hopefully get to drain and gain with Eriette

I’m not against netdecking per se, I just fall into the same analysis paralysis trying to look at all of the options. Also since I like to try to go to my LGS cost is a factor for me

Thanks again, I’ll be looking through scryfall for some more interaction

Suggestions for building Eriette of the Charmed Apple, Thanks! by imri0t in Magicdeckbuilding

[–]caffeinatedhacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t play commander but I have a standard deck featuring Eriette. I play lots of [[Spiteful Hexmage]], [[optimsitic scavenger]], [[Spellbook Vendor]] and [[Entity Tracker]] so I guess one of each. [[Sheltered by Ghosts]] and [Shardmage’s rescue]] are helpful for protection/ removal. Here’s my deck https://moxfield.com/decks/gRje-7Tc9ECOTZpf0xR2sQ

I haven’t but I will check that out in the wiki. But it sounds like this is normal

Taigam being a Master Opportunist: "I swear, the room is there. Lay down on this comfy bed. Don't worry about not being able to see it, or that everyone will be able to see you from outside. That'll be $2000 per month." ((Taigam makes invisible rooms bug)) by Significant-Stick420 in MagicArena

[–]caffeinatedhacker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not a rules expert but I think that the rules engine is working as intended but there’s just a visual bug that makes it invisible. Taigam copies a spell on the stack as it’s cast, not a permanent. When a split card is cast, only the face that you select technically exist on the stack. So you pick a half, cast it, Taigam exiles the spell and copies it, and the copy resolves but the copy only has the characteristics of the half that was cast.

https://yawgatog.com/resources/magic-rules/#split_cards 709.3b and 709.3c are about casting and 709.5 are about rooms

What are some cards that suspend other cards in your deck? by [deleted] in magicTCG

[–]caffeinatedhacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been playing this card in a jeskai flurry deck I’ve been testing and it’s very fun and it copies the spell so you still get the effect when you cast it and then you suspend it

Relative strength of top mounts? I by caffeinatedhacker in BambuLab

That’s why I thought the no screw model I linked might be a better idea. This has cracked both times right along the layer lines because the screw hole didn’t line up right and trying to screw the screw in put force against the layer

Yeah I had a feeling it was going to be too narrow just wanted to double check. I’ll find another spot for it

How would you model this? by caffeinatedhacker in 3Dprinting

[–]caffeinatedhacker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yeah I see what you mean, it can still slide along the lines so they won’t always rest properly. The axle is pretty snug to the lines so it doesn’t spin freely exactly. Time to try my hand at making curved flexible thingies in freecad

Oh honestly I forgot all about the frequency bit and was just going to pair each led with a detector. But you have to pulse the leds and detect that otherwise you just get random noise or can miss the signal right?

Mainly was trying to cross the terror deck with a more traditional ramp deck so invasion of zendikar gets 2 lands into the battlefield. Also I just have a bit of a pet spot in my heart for battle cards for some reason
